ortiz isnt tough to hit (this is why the best 2-3 guys would beat him imo) and takes a couple rounds to warm into it. aside from that i dont think he's limited though. he has loads of offensive tools and cuts the ring well. able to land pretty regularly. very very fit too. he's not some slow skill devoid slugger with a punch.

craw is what, 35 now, ortiz 24 or something. ortiz has plenty of time , craw doesnt, i dont see ortiz's people rushing into that fight

Brave from McKinson but ultimately outgunned, I did give him a couple of rounds including the 1st he came out in top of a few exchanges but Ortiz walked him down, McKinson is slippery, uses his legs well but couldn't really keep Ortiz off over the course, Ortiz got up close and banged away on the inside, not always pretty but he was controlling the play, eventually he put McKinson down with a left hook to the body at the end of the 8th then again with the same shot first punch of the 9th, McKinson's corner waved the towel when Ortiz followed up for the finish, McKinson seemed to jar his knee just as it was stopped, brave by McKinson but Ortiz class and power too much in the end

I haven’t seen it yet but I’ve got the strong impression with Ortiz that using your legs will only ever take you so far.

As he’s fundamentally hittable, despite the risks (he seems to have the skill and ring craft to be decent at countering) it’s wasting a major opportunity to beat him if you’re not trying to back him up. I’d rather take the risks of going at him than the other way.

Unless you are Pernell Whittker, at the top level you need a bit of a dig.

The Brit is horrible to fight and his style will win him British titles, but even PBF had an underrated dig.

Looked like Micky had pillows for gloves.

The lack of power was evident

Tbf to Kinny he stood and fought when he was armed with a tampon and Ortiz had a sledgehammer. Seemed to get Ortiz tired then the end come after weathering the storm.

Good effort… but he was never going to win with that game plan. Good to see some British welters step up and fight a genuine top 10 welter.

Ortiz Jr. cuts the ring off fairly well I think, he gets touched a little more than his team probably would like but he's got plenty of tools to make for a very exciting career. Brave effort from McKinson but it was always going to be tough for him with the disparity in power, props to him for taking on the challenge.

How bad did Hooker look v Cobbs, I know he's had plenty going on outside of the ring but he looked a literal shell compared to his usual self, probably shouldn't have fought in his current state.

I bloody hope not.

The more he continues to lose, the further that fight should be.

Has he even won at 147?

First time I’ve seen McK and I was quite impressed by him. I think he did everything he could’ve done.

Thought his dad did a great job in the corner giving concise instructions calmly and clearly in direct contrast to Ortiz’ chaotic corner with 3 people shouting in his ear.

I’d love to see Ortiz dismantle Benn but that will never happen. If he fights Crawford I think Bud dissects him like a surgeon and stops him

Ortiz is a heavy handed mercenary, tough dude.

McKinson was up against a very good fighter there. McKinson’s performance sort of reminded me of Billy Joe Saunders again Canelo, just ultimately not able to deal with the power.
