This should be a buildup for the 4th Wilder fight. :OhYes:

Nah, it will be better to take McDermott out of retirement for the trilogy.

Yeah, pretty cynical stuff, I'll fight someone I beat easily last time.

His record of defences as champ is pretty terrible.

All that stuff shows, how unmarketable Usyk is. Fury knows, that Usyk will win Joshua again and that it'll be hard to make a deal with Usyk, because the profit from their fight is questionable. If Joshua somehow wins Usyk, there will instantly be a talk about Fury-Joshua. In a case of the Usyk win, it's an unclear situation.

I assumed this was just another Fury BS comment .. but it seems he is really chasing a 3rd Chisora fight.

There was a time when Fury was amusing; very cringe in the things he done and said which highlighted he isn`t too bright .. but often quite amusing. However since he got turned into an ATG for beating an all-time-worse he has just got increasingly boring and irritating.

From various comments to this it does not look like it would sell, so hopefully he needs to fight some sort of challenge when he next steps into the ring.

jamesmcdonnell wrote: 08 Aug 2022, 17:04 His best win by far is Wlad - but come on, you have to factor in Wlad's age in that, he was at the tail end of a very long career.

Fury can fight, he's an excellent fighter on his best night, but you can't say his legacy as champ will be impressive without some other substantial wins.

It's a shame the Joshua fight didn't happen earlier, because Joshua is likely to be a busted flush soon.

If he beats Usyk, then that will definitely help, as Usyk is a top drawer quality fighter.
Some context, Fury was promised a Klit fight after the first Chisora fight. Instead Vitali fights Chisora who Fury beat and Wlad avoids him for 4 years. Finally Team Klit made the ring spongy to try and impede Fury's movement. They didn't fancy the fight at any stage.

Agreed that Fury's resume could do with some more names but I do value the 3 Wilder fights highly. They were real events in the sport. Also on the way up boxers were avoiding Fury before he was champion. When asked why he was fighting Cunningham he said 'because no one else will fight me'. He might well have had Haye on his record if he didn't pull out

He’s gonna have to collaborate with a promoter for PPV. BT, DAZN and Sky all have exclusive promoters.

Unless he has it on Triller or FITE..

He doesn’t even need a trainer really does he?

Put his brother with the frizzy hair in his corner or his dad.

They can stand there in front of him between rounds how Eubank sr. used to.

God I detest Fury I wish he'd just bore off, fighting a guy who in 22 rounds has barely laid a glove on him, part of me thinks this is a pisstake but knowing Fury maybe not, the guy shat it from Joshua and is too scared to mention Usyk

Deontay Wilder and Dillian Whyte?
Yeah, it's not much of a legacy is it?

Wilder is probably the least skilfull heavyweight champion of all time, and Whyte is really no more than European level, he's just a big lump.
Not much of a legacy no but it's just two fights that more or less had to happen. I wouldn't call it terrible.

... just before he lost it to Usyk, and 2 fights after getting stopped by the pudding Ruiz.

Fury is making an already bad heavyweight division even worse.
