Looks like a cruiserweight again
Yes, he looks very slim. Maybe he'll go for the Bridgerweight belt. I'm sure the WBC would let him do it.
Wouldn't be surprised. Maybe a fight Vs Romanov could be sold as a rematch.

I'd actually rather see him at Cruiserweight. I think his record at heavyweight is massively overrated and his skillset is very weak but with his length and power at Cruiserweight he could be literally head and shoulders above the rest of the guys there. Would atleast be interesting to find out.

Dropping that much weight at Wilder's age is a bad idea. Even at 215-220 I'd guess him at 5-7% bodyfat. You lose a lot going below that in terms of performance, power, etc, and it is dangerous to your brain. Wilder fighting at cruiser is a stupid idea.

Deontay Wilder looks like a cruiseweight in that photo.

I think he needed to lose the weight he gained for the third bout against Fury.

That said, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ will be 37 years of age the next time he competes.

And the next time he steps foot inside the ring, he would have experienced three years without scoring a victory, whilst being on the receiving end of two brutal pummellings.

I just think we’ve already seen the prime iteration of Deontay Wilder.

He’s probably declining physically and the beating he took may have made him gun-shy (i.e. less inclined to trade).

Wilder’s future opponents will probably try to emulate the Tyson Fury "blueprint", by forcing the American on the backfoot, because he appears out of his comfort zone and less effective when he’s constantly retreating.

To make myself clear, I’m not suggesting that Wilder is completely “shot to pieces”, but I do feel that he’s going to find it far more challenging to overcome the vast majority of his future opponents.

Nah, he's probably 10-12% which is super lean for a heavyweight. 5-7% is contest bodybuilder lean and he doesn't look like that. Considering he's been 212lb before he probably could have safely made 200lb with a water cut, but perhaps not now.

BS.com has learned Wilder is likely to box Robert Helenius on October 15 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn in what would be the former WBC heavyweight champion’s first fight in more than a year. Wilder-Helenius is expected to headline a FOX Sports Pay-Per-View show 53 weeks after Wilder suffered an 11th-round knockout loss to Tyson Fury in the thrilling third fight of their trilogy.

A deal for Wilder-Helenius hadn’t been finalized as of Wednesday morning, but barring anything unforeseen Wilder will end his long layoff on the aforementioned date versus Helenius.
