Light Heavyweights: Dick Tiger vs. Yaqui Lopez

Post by scorpio83 »

15 Rounds Light Heavyweight Bout

Either Tiger outwork the bigger Lopez behind body shots and counters to take a decision or would Lopez out-box and out-work Tiger behind his powerful punches to take a decision. What do you guys think and who do you got?

Alvaro "Yaqui" Lopez would have been world champion if he would have fought in another era. In his era, it was probably the best era of the 175-pounders. It was as good and probably a little better than the Archie Moore-Ezzard Charles mid 1940s era.

Lopez was bigger and stronger than the great Dick Tiger. And he was busier. I can't see how could Tiger hurt him. Tiger could not carry that punch at 175lbs.

Lopez by Unanimous decision or late KO around the 13th round in a thrilling fight.
