De La Hoya's speed, strength and youth vs Barrera's veteran craft and experience at the highest level.

I don't think De La Hoya when he was at 130 was ready for that level of skill, but Barrera only maintained his best abilities for 1 fight really as a 130 pounder.

Against Morales in the 3rd fight, it was probably as good as he ever was at 130 pounds. That Barrera might be a little too much for a young De La Hoya.

But I can also see the young, hungry De La Hoya being too much for Barrera and stopping him somewhere along the way.

Basically I'd take either Barrera by decision or De La Hoya by stoppage, but I think the former is more likely.

Barrera would win this. He was craftier than Oscar.
