I agree with most that it will be another Usyk lesson. I am a little surprised though that most don't give AJ a chance in hell of winning though. Remember his boxing skills are decent, has at least one dirty trick of holding and upper-cutting, and good power. Garcia will obviously have him with some Maidana style roughhouse tactics too.
Its not like Usyk ran through Chisora, or Breidis,...actually had fairly close fights with them.
Anyway, just saying its heavyweight boxing, and anything can happen. I expect Usyk to win, but won't be a shock is AJ does. (Remember Fury wants to fight AJ, and it sure would be nice if he had the belts) Usyk may have to KO AJ to get the win.

I’ve made the hipster bet and gone for Usyk in rounds 10-12 at almost 10/1, with a hedge on Usyk points

Usyk is too damn agile and versatile for a stiff big guy like AJ. Aj is gonna chase rabbits and gas out fast, probably he'd get stopped.

If it goes anything like the last one, its a decent bet. I would also put a bit on AJ in round 2-3 if the odds are decent.
I'm keeping my wallet closed on this one though. Just not sure...

Re: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Anthony Joshua II | DAZN - August 20, 2022
For the last ten months, even since their since first fight, I have been convinced that Usyk beats AJ much easier second time around.
I always questioned the dubious ending of that fight, because the twelfth round ended early, just as Joshua’s corner were waving the towel indicating to the ref to stop the fight. This was very controversial.
And a lot was made of Usyk’s return to the Ukraine, with the media suggesting we should feel sorry for him because it could affect his boxing career, but he was there for less than a month and never needed to shoot a gun.
In fact, the reason he ended his tenure in the Ukraine in order to commence training camp almost five months ago.
So everything in my bones has been telling me for the last ten months that Usyk beats AJ much easier than he did in their first fight.
But I’m beginning to have my doubts and I have no reason whatsoever to justify my sudden change of heart.
It’s not because of AJ’s new trainer, Robert Garcia, because he’s not been involved with the Brit long enough. In fact, changing trainer so late in the day might even worsen Joshua’s chances.
I just can’t explain it, and I thoroughly expect to be proven wrong, but I can’t help thinking that Joshua somehow defies my expectation and beats Usyk.
It’s not as if I’m a fan of AJ’s either, with my prediction somehow due to loyalty, because that’s not the case either.
In fact I was delighted to see him lose to Andy Ruiz Jr. and I was frustrated that Usyk didn’t get to score the stoppage he deserved. And I believe I told the forum so on both occasions.
But for some inexplicable reason, I just have this feeling that Joshua will find a way to beat Usyk.
And I can’t recall an occasion, in recent memory, where I’ve predicted the outcome of a fight based on pure gut feeling, which is weird to me, because all the evidence suggests that Usyk beats AJ much easier in their rematch than he did first time around.

Guys, I’m very hyped for this one since AJ posted a picture of himself looking crazy with the caption: “loco”. Guys I’m expecting a different AJ in there, a loco AJ. Does Usyk stand a chance against a loco AJ?

I will then revel, like a pig rolling around in its own shit, at how marvellous and amazing a predictor I am, no matter who wins.

Same, I think by stoppage. But if it doesn't happen before the midway point, it won't happen.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑16 Aug 2022, 03:57

Joshua proved he can change his approach and come back.
He is never going to out box Uysk, but he does have physical advantages.

I think a big difference is though that Joshua can change his approach and style, but it's all done pre-fight in training, and then he's stuck that way, kinda like getting programmed.
Whereas, Usyk is the type of fighter who can adapt and change during the fight. He can sometimes look quite ordinary, but then figures the opponent out, sets traps and takes over.

Usyk wins: EO was right to say the feeling was 'inexplicable'
Joshua wins: EO WAS RIGHT AGAIN!!!!!!! WE SHOULD ALL LAUD HIS 'FEELINGS' HOWEVER 'INEXPLICABLE' THEY MAY BE

yeah, it's 'inexplicable', nothing at all to do with you wanting to hedge your bets and cover both bases, so you get to post all triumphantly on Sunday whichever way the result falls. Nah, it's inexplicable, isn't it, it's just this nebulous feeling you can neither shake nor even properly describe, see the clever way he caveats this 'feeling' everybody, he mentions that it's 'inexplicable' so what that means is nobody can really say he got it wrong, he just called it a 'feeling', and one that he couldn't explain, for that matter.

you think Usyk will win, but you'll be making the pro move of betting on Joshua, you say?
