I thought this would be an earlier start time for uk viewers, but seems like it’s the usual 1030/11pm…is that right?
Not sure why DAZN are advertising the UK start time..

AJ-Ruiz was 9:30pm ring walk.
Apparently, Hearn is trying to cater more towards the US fans as well so it’s not too early for them.
In Jeddah they will make their ringwalks at 12:30am.

Highly unlikely American fans are bothered about it.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑15 Aug 2022, 16:14They’re advertising all times.MightyWarrior wrote: ↑15 Aug 2022, 16:04 I thought this would be an earlier start time for uk viewers, but seems like it’s the usual 1030/11pm…is that right?

Re: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Anthony Joshua II | Sky Sports PPV - 20 August 2022
Usyk now has that P4P air of invincibility that Canelo recently carried - he’s got it all, and there’s absolutely NO WAY he can lose….
But presumably AJ and Senor Garcia el maestro have a different game plan than last times lame effort …turn it into a mauling brawling firefight and try and land one of those sneaky hellacious uppercuts - if he hurts Usyk, he might just bundle him out of there…who’s the ref ? Has Hearn shipped over Terry O’Connell yet ?

I genuinely think Usyk has to make the fight even clearer this time to get a scorecard win.

This is worth a rewatch around 7 minutes for those who trust every word Hearn says (not many on here other than Dazn Daz I know)....

Anybody else feel like the buildup to this is very low key?
Seems to have crept up and not many causals talking about it…

It's definitely ramped up this week - two Whatsapp groups of friends who are casuals have arranged a visit to a pub + a house party around the fight - first fight since before COVID this has happened.
Not scientific but people definitely know the fight is on.

That's because there is no need. Saudi have already paid a massive fee and the purses are paid for..Frostieballs wrote: ↑16 Aug 2022, 04:34 Anybody else feel like the buildup to this is very low key?

I take a lot of what Hearn says with a pinch of salt but I can’t see much that he’s seemingly lying about here. He clearly thought the fight would be on DAZN at the time which he was wrong about.
Re: Boxxer fighters, he’s said that 258 had a slot on the undercard. Souleymane Cissokho was reportedly on there but he’s injured so has been replaced by Ben Whittaker who seemingly won’t even be on the main show.
I don’t think Hearn often blatantly lies. The only one that springs to mind is him saying Galahad beat Warrington…until Warrington signed for him again when he then thought their fight was a draw.

Being told I’m racist and jealous cos I want Usyk to destroy Josh has me in bits.

Fowler calling anyone who’s going against Joshua a jealous pudendum… and there’s a few people saying if you don’t want AJ to win you must have a tendency to despise his skin colour.
I want Usyk to win as I’m a massive fan of his. Could be Chinese, Asian or from Moss Side; doesn’t matter.
Big Frazer also spouting crap about folk not getting behind the Brit.

Quick question folks - if you have a VPN and go on Ukraine would you be able to watch this fight on Usyks YouTube channel - can someone confirm this?

great stuff i have seen in the Sun:
here's how good old AJ managed to pick his own team up from their doldrums after he lost to Usyk. and this was right in the dressing room afterwards:
"Right after, in the changing room, I knew I would fight again," Joshua said. "I was telling everyone 'come on, what the f***? We are warriors, we lost a fight but not the war. This is an ongoing battle. It's not over 'til it's over.' That's how I re-motivated my team. Nothing should dishearten you. I have to keep that mentality for the rest of my life even if I stumble privately or publicly."

what a guy, in the aftermath of defeat, re-motivating his team.

Hearn gives the clear impression in that interview that a) he's in charge of the undercard and b) he knew that DAZN will be showing the fight in the UK not Sky.maverick23 wrote: ↑16 Aug 2022, 05:40I take a lot of what Hearn says with a pinch of salt but I can’t see much that he’s seemingly lying about here. Within weeks it was clear that a) he was not in charge of the undercard but just had a couple of slots and b) he was not close at all to the TV deal.
