Pity. I like this for a ebu title rather than an eliminator. It seems European titles aren't taken that seriously. Avanasyan has defended his a bunch though!

Shame the Euro has lost its shine. If it still had value mabey Ava would of fought someone in the top 100 in the last 18 months.

It’s hard to give two fcuks about Callum. He should be more popular.. won the WBS, fought canelo, some great ko’s but another career littered with inactivity and some meh performances.

Needs to get in amongst it at LHW sharpish.

Callum should be a beast at LHW, but Bieterbev can put him down after seeing how Ryder controlled him. Bauderlique is a guy who can strike, though.

What's the consensus result on here if Callum Smith squared off with Anthony Yarde ???

that would be a good one. there are lots of interesting possible fights for callum at 175 , hopefully some of them materialize

matty here is a chinny lad but very fit too and no mug. check out him stopping joe ward in wsb if you haven't seen it. i expect him to give it a nice go but ultimately be too fragile

I'd envisage Smith's sharp shooting to pick Yarde to pieces....different level.

Smith probably does everything a little better than MB and I expect Callum to win every round before stopping him midway.

Dazzling performance from Smith and 2nd devastating stoppage win on the trot.

Hearn's got to get Callum more active. He's great to watch and is an amazing puncher :box:

Enjoyed that fight Callum looked good ,, got to say though never seen Bauderlique before so don't know if it was Callum very good or his opponent not really good enough ,, , still was entertaining

Smith looks quite monstrous in this weight so far.

Enjoyed that fight, French kid looked lively but very much out of his depth.

Interesting to hear his corner call for the jab, but Smith just ignore them and walk his opponent down. I suppose sometimes a fighter can make up his own mind without the advice from the corner.

Curious what the plan is for Smith at LHW, was that fight some sort of eliminator or something? If so, what belt?

Will never happen. Yarde gets rendered unconscious in that one.

It was a final eliminator for WBC that Beterbiev holds

It's the way of the (boxing) world I suppose....Yarde yet to beat a single world class opponent and yet he's ahead of Smith to box for a world title for the 2nd time :brick:
