IMO Poor choice for Valuev in his next fight in the US , Monte Barrett is the opponent, Barrett hasn't fought since sleepwalking through his challenge against Rahman , almost a year ago.
I guess its a showpiece for Valuev to show what he's got, but its a pretty no-win situation really, if he struggles then everyone will say he's overratted, if he wins well, people will just say that Barrett wasn't that good anyway.

he is reminiscent of the italian giant primo carnera of the 1930s-1940s---main difference being carnera was more talented. The main similarity is in the way carnera was promoted in usa, a a circus sideshow freak.
anyone who ever saw the old hollywood classic "mighty joe young" knows exactly what i'm talking about...altho he was previously in italian movies, mighty joe young was carnera's hollywood debut. he played a circus strongman who gave a pitiful challenge to the gigantic ape (a smaller version of king kong) and this is the role of carnera that brings to made valuev (who don king appropriately hoes to one day promote in the manner of king kong)!!
if anyone has access to DVD of MIGHTY JOE YOUNG run the scene of carnera & you will see the resemblance to the less-talented but even more gargantuan nikolai valuev!!
