He won't fight Wilder again. He tried to drop the 3rd fight in front of the Joshua bout opportunity, but failed to do it only because of the obligation in the contract. He'll fight Usyk next. The Ukrainian won't fight anybody else too. Right now it's the money time for Fury-Usyk.

PBF earned extreme amounts, obv he put bums on seats, but I don't think more the likes of AJ or Fury, it just demonstrates how PBF was smart enough to keep a bigger proportion of the money generated.
Conor Magregor benefited hugely from this and actually earned more in one fight than most of the top flight fighters earned in their career.

Although there was a lingering suspicion at the time that Fury was more wary of fighting AJ than vice versa, the Wilder contract situation gave Fury a free pass for avoiding AJ.

If it happens again with Usyk he’ll be rightly panned by the critics and his tiresome man of the people / mental health survivor shtick will fall on deaf ears.
