I reckon it’ll be this..
It’s meant to be purse bids for this today so I’m sure there will be news about it today but I’d be amazed if that’s the big news.

Would be nice for him to announce more of his Q4 line up. Also rumours of a deal with someone in the UAE to host several shows.
Unless a deals already been agreed.
Tbh it could be many things.
Looks like it was the Abu Dhabi champion series deal. Hopefully this means Matchroom will finally announce some more shows. His stable can’t be happy how inactive most of them are.

Yeh I noticed.

What other kind of fights are they gonna take to Abu Dhabi?

Any fight that won’t draw a big gate but is still a good fight.

Just basically sell it off to Middle East.

So we should begin to get some decent fights overall..

hopefully.

Decent payday for Buatsi given the current exchange rate. The relationship between Eddie and Lou DiBella is pretty bad so can’t see Eddie being helped out on U.K. TV rights.

I think Buatsi has the beating of Pascal even in Canada but let’s see what happens. May be the catalyst for Buatsi to leave Matchroom perhaps.

DiBella is not on good terms with Showtime either is he since the whole Wilder situation.. Or is that only with PBC?

Perhaps he'll get a deal with ESPN? co promotion with TR?

How much you betting team Matchroom remove Buatsi from that IBF slot and he will appear on a British card in a meaningless fight.

Well they clearly wanted the fight or they would have already pulled it.

Hearn asked WBA to allow Bivol-Buatsi, but they declined.

Buatsi isn't gonna get many opportunities at the moment. all the belts are tied up with 2 people.

Ouch. Interesting to see how this plays out. The story of the DAZN money being reduced for all but the biggest fights is a really important one for the sport.

No doubt they wanted it… but they definitely wanted it on DAZN… would be surprised to see Buatsi fight away from there at the moment.

I don’t know why Fat Dan is saying it may end up on BT sport.

As I said earlier.

DiBella isn’t really on the best terms with most.

Buatsi (16-0, 13 KOs) will earn $585,000 based on his being entitled to 60 percent.
Pascal (36-6-1, 20 KOs) will earn $390,000, or 40 percent of the bid.

Yeah - £500k isn’t bad money for JB. Makes it a bit harder for U.K. promoters at the moment with the exchange rate being so poor to the dollar.

Lou probably has a better relationship with FW than he does with Eddie. Still not sure I can see FW wanting to spend much on it given he doesn’t control one of the fighters.

How weird. If it’s in the U.K. on FW show then why didn’t Frank just bid for it?! It’s as though he’s asked Lou to bid for it just so Frank doesn’t lose face if Eddie wins the bid.

After Frank won the Fury/Whyte bids he was claiming it was because he was drinking Furiocity and said it’s the drink that wins purse bids.

Overall, he has gone down hill. Despite all the new deals etc..

He’s not the same he was say 3-4 years ago.

Britain had 11 world champions just 6 years ago. Seems like a long time.

Yup, you can’t help thinking that Hearn’s time is coming to an end. Everyone’s leaving him or planning to leave him, DAZN appears to be going to become a PPV app like Fite TV, I’m sure the number of subscribers they have must be dropping every weekend particularly with an energy crisis coming, and when he does make a purse bid he invariably loses. He must be pretty demoralised to think that in 12 months he’s gone from Fight Camp and a Josh Warrington stadium fight which all took place in the time , this year, between a nextgen show and a Leigh Wood defence.
