GOMEZ JR-PHILLIPS CENTRAL AREA CLASH REARRANGED FOR OCTOBER 22 IN OLDHAM

A super-featherweight Central Area clash between Manchester’s Michael Gomez Jr. and Liverpool’s Brian Phillips has been rearranged for October 22nd at the Oldham Leisure Centre. The contest which will also take place as a final eliminator for the English title, currently held by Liam Dillon.

The pair were set to come head-to-head at the same venue in July before the Mancunian was forced to pull out just days before due to an arm injury sustained in training. Phillips ran out with a comfortable four-round victory and attention soon turned to rearranging the bout which would see the latest instalment in the Liverpool-Manchester sporting rivalry.

Prospects Zak Miller (featherweight), Josh Holmes (super-featherweight) and Jasmina Zapotoczna (super-bantamweight) are also set to feature.
