The Fella on the left is Bruce Woodcock and the fella on the right is an International Man of Mystery who I would love to know a bit more about, please.
He's much older than Bruce and after reading bruces book 'Two Fists and a fortune' not only did he owe his life to him when he pulled him out of the truck but he was also a dear friend and companion to the true British Bulldog
Just behind these fella's is a hole in the floor with a Hatch, and if you look at the picture carefully you will observe these fella's are sparring in a rooftop.
So imagine this now, Mr Greenslade (on the right) gets caught off balance and throws a right, he misses and Bruce tags him with a right counter of his own unaware that the hatch in the floor has been left open.
Like something out of a Carry on film Ted Greenslade gets knocked out of the ring straight down the hatch onto the ground floor and he missed every run of the ladder!
Everyones shocked, Bruce is frozen, all they could hear was a thud and dust begins to rise threw the hatch in the floor, then Up Pop's Ted Greenslade's head saying 'I'm all right!' and they all burst out laughing
That's just one of many stories from a great era in boxing, but what I really want are facts about Ted Greenslade and if anyone else has any photos of the Gang in Balby I would love to see them.
