If he's not going to get in condition, why should we pay?tiny_acres wrote: ↑01 Sep 2022, 11:56I was just going to post the same thing.
I want to see how he looks on the scales.

Re: Andy Ruiz Jr. vs. Luis Ortiz | FOX PPV - September 4, 2022
Luis Ortiz looks terribly old and athletically unimpressive during his most recent training videos.
It’s exceptionally rare for a diminutive technical boxer like Andy Ruiz Jr. to knockout his foes.
But the Cuban ‘King Kong’ currently looks like he won’t be able to maintain a decent pace for twelve rounds.
Andy really has an excellent shot at stopping Ortiz sometime around round eight, though it’s definitely more mathematically probable he simply scores a lopsided decision victory.

if that's a 6 pack, i've got one too
Re: Andy Ruiz Jr. vs. Luis Ortiz | FOX PPV - September 4, 2022
If this fight actually comes off I expect it to go the distance with both fighters totally gassed and hanging on at the end. I wouldn't pay a loonie if they were holding this one across the street.

You’re absolutely spot on, but to be fair, compared to his physical shape for the AJ rematch and early on in his career, it’s a drastic transformation.
I just hope it translates into him being a better fighter and decimating the allegedly fearsome Luis ‘King Kong’ “ducked by all” Ortiz hype train!
Re: Andy Ruiz Jr. vs. Luis Ortiz | FOX PPV - September 4, 2022
Come on guys, that's the best shape he has been in since he fought Parker.
I don't know what he weighs, but he definitely has dropped two cup sizes.
Looking forward to this fight and a few on the undercard as well. I'm happy for Fat Andy, and being high volume and mobile is the best weapon to go against Father Time.
Roll on the weekend!

I'm picking Ruiz by Tko.
This is going to be Extremely interesting though.
Wouldn't be Shocked if Ortiz proves me Wrong.
An 8th round tko is what I'm sensing though.

If Andy comes in above 255 I'm picking Ortiz.

Andy says he’ll weigh between 265lbs to 270lbs, but he doesn’t look that heavy though.

Deja vu all over again. I've seen these pics from Ruiz fights passed. Photoshop? And then comes the weigh in, the moment of truth.

I have a hunch EO was/is a big fan of Butterbean.

In the ring, without his shirt, he will look nothing like the above.

His tattoos do look a lot better, I'll defo give him that. Looks more like artwork than pissed up mistake in Malaga.
Re: Andy Ruiz Jr. vs. Luis Ortiz | FOX PPV - September 4, 2022
His gut will be bigger and his hair will be darker. Looks ike a guy who photoshopped his pic for match.com.Lenny Cravats wrote: ↑02 Sep 2022, 12:58He defo looks like he's sucking his gut in, leaning forward and angling his shoulders out.
We all do it on the beach when there's a pretty girl in a bikini.

Geez. He makes Tony Galento look like Mr. Universe.
Re: Andy Ruiz Jr. vs. Luis Ortiz | FOX PPV - September 4, 2022
I think it is what makes this fight a bit more interesting.
Basically we know what Father Time is, what we don't know is how fat, Fat Andy will be.
Otherwise it's just a ho-hum second tier HW fight the rip off bastards are trying to sell as PPV.

Re: Andy Ruiz Jr. vs. Luis Ortiz | FOX PPV - September 4, 2022
Other pics I've seen of Ruiz shows he's put in the work at least. He knows his career hinges on this fight, so hope he wins for that reason. Ortiz is tough though and who I think will win.
Re: Andy Ruiz Jr. vs. Luis Ortiz | FOX PPV - September 4, 2022
It's no matter how fat Ruiz will be, cause Ortiz' legs are gone, push him a bit and he'll collapse. If the Fat Andy somehow loses, it'll be a fiasco. Before the bout against Chuck there was some obscurity about the Cuban, but now everything is clear. The Fatman has that speed in his hands, he shouldn't wait too much for utilizing it.

Re: Andy Ruiz Jr. vs. Luis Ortiz | FOX PPV - September 4, 2022
Ruiz should win easily. He should have beat arreola easily though
Re: Andy Ruiz Jr. vs. Luis Ortiz | FOX PPV - September 4, 2022
Based on both of their previous performances this could go either way. Ruiz getting dropped by Arreola makes me think he was better of heavy. (Parker heavy, not AJ2)
