Did Smith hit him low and he was trying to make the most of it?
Smith shouldn't have been throwing punches when he was down on one knee.

I think he came into the fight carrying an ankle injury .
Absolutely bizzare ending tho and he was catching Smith with some decent shots .

That was bizarre.

It was like one of those stoppages where the opponent turns his back, but there is now all this commotion / reaction.

No idea what's happened there but Mwakinyo basically quit whether unintentionally I haven't got a clue but you can't be volunterily taking a knee twice and expect not to be stopped, no sure if it was the ankle but he brought that on himself, shame as he was hitting Smith was big shots that were registering, Mwakinyo looked the stronger, bigger puncher and was in the driving seat before that bizarre ending, shame as it was shaping up nicely but you can't be going down like that

Excellent summary as usual MDP.

Hassan quit, spat the gumshield and deserves the loss.
Smith is nasty going for him when he was down, but he took one after the bell, so....

Beefy deserves a big fight @ home - win another title or retire.. :box:

We've seen fighters go out like that a few times over the years but it's usually after shipping some punishment, Mwakinyo hadn't took anything meaningful, he looked the boss at that point strange indeed

Agreed.

All concerned talk about moving Fraze along quickly though, I wonder how soon he’ll be ready for someone like Gorman.

He'd beat him now, Gorman is massively overrated.

Hard to say what happened with Mwakinyo, but honestly I'd og gone close to DQ'ing smith. he intentionaly hit a downed oppoent 4 times. Mwakinyo had an ankle playing up, takes a knee, which he has every right to do and gets combo'd, thats not on. sure it was sketchy, but he has the right to do it.

Only thing that saved smith in my opinon (not in reality ref would of probably let a side kurb stomp him...) is that the 2nd time mwakinyo went down he didnt actualy get his knee down so i guess was fair game.
