Re: Andy Ruiz Jr. vs. Luis Ortiz | FOX PPV - September 4, 2022
Ruiz (34-2, 22 KOs) weighed in at 268 ¾ pounds, nearly a full pound more than in his title winning effort over Anthony Joshua over 3 years ago.
Ortiz (33-2, 28 KOs) weighed a career-high but well-proportioned 245.4 pounds.

Even though he's looked old for a number of years, Ortiz now looks OLD. His face, his body, the lot. Seeing him walking down the street you wouldn't think that it would be safe to put him in a pro boxing fight. While Andy's just there looking like the kid from UP with his first facial hair.

Andy Ruiz Jr. looked in phenomenal shape at the weigh-in.
He looks much lighter than his official weight.
Today’s 268lbs Andy Ruiz Jr. looks much better, in terms of physique, than the 2019 268lbs iteration that dominated and destroyed Anthony Joshua.

I laugh when idiots make fight predictions based on weigh in weights, especially heavyweights.

I laugh when idiots pretend that others have made predictions based purely on physique or body weight, when in fact that never happened in any version of reality!
Are there any other fictitious claims you’d like to make?
Perhaps you should learn to read?

Agreed, although Ruiz coming in heavy for the Joshua rematch didn't bode well.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑03 Sep 2022, 21:17I laugh when idiots pretend that others have made predictions based purely on physique or body weight, when in fact that never happened in any version of reality!

Focusing on weight loss in training camp is a terrible idea - that time should be spent building stamina, sparring and working on skills.
That said, if Ruiz was 100% committed to being the best heavyweight he can be, he would dedicate the time AFTER fights to fat loss.

I'm going for Ruiz via 8th round TKO when Ortiz's hip pops out.
Re: Andy Ruiz Jr. vs. Luis Ortiz | FOX PPV - September 4, 2022
It probably won't. But we've certainly seen that before with Odlanier Solis, Vyacheslav Glazkov, Yuri Foreman, and Sergio Martinez. The Gratest wrote: ↑04 Sep 2022, 13:51 I'm going for Ruiz via 8th round TKO when Ortiz's hip pops out.
