Hats off to both guys for doing their best. Grandpa Ortiz showed he can still hang with a prime aged guy. Ruiz now shows he belongs in the lower top ten. We'll see. I would favor Jared Anderson or Frank Sanchez to beat him, and Wilder puts him to sleep. AJ can beat him on points again.
A few of the top 10 heavys like Joyce are so damn slow, Ruiz could win. Heavy seems like more gatekeepers than quality boxers. Hopefully they bring some young guys up quickly.
I have only seen highlights but heard it was a close fight. I think age, along with heavy shots from Wilder has caused Ortiz's punch resistance to go down.

I hate nothing more than guys who can't even be bothered to get in shape, the one thing that everybody can accomplish. I say fuck Andy Ruiz, if he doesn't care I sure as hell won't either.
BTW, he should weigh no more than 225lbs.

I just tried to watch this fight. Good lawd' I would it would be cruel to make anyone watch this garbage. I hope almost no one paid for this shit legally. I'd rather watch flies fart.

Each averaged around 6 punches landed per round
Pathetic

About 6 minutes of action, total, in a 12 round fight. It was pathetic, even by old/lazy heavyweight standards. In reality it was barely a main event.
The rest of the card was pretty decent though, not super high level stuff that you might expect from a PPV, but 3 good close ones.

I've read some posts on Youtube calling it a good fight.KiwiRider wrote: ↑05 Sep 2022, 15:38About 6 minutes of action, total, in a 12 round fight. It was pathetic, even by old/lazy heavyweight standards. In reality it was barely a main event.

Wilder would KO Ruiz in a few rounds.Tony1244 wrote: ↑05 Sep 2022, 16:00I've read some posts on Youtube calling it a good fight.KiwiRider wrote: ↑05 Sep 2022, 15:38About 6 minutes of action, total, in a 12 round fight. And I expect they would want us to pay for the privilege of watching what will later be a 2 minute highlight clip.

I'll probably buy Wilder-Ruiz. They don't make PPVs like they used to.KiwiRider wrote: ↑05 Sep 2022, 16:03Wilder would KO Ruiz in a few rounds.Tony1244 wrote: ↑05 Sep 2022, 16:00I've read some posts on Youtube calling it a good fight.KiwiRider wrote: ↑05 Sep 2022, 15:38

Yeah, Andy is sloppy and too opened. Well, he has a decent handspeed, but barely he can find a place and time for utilizing it. Wilder ices him earlier.KiwiRider wrote: ↑05 Sep 2022, 16:03Wilder would KO Ruiz in a few rounds.Tony1244 wrote: ↑05 Sep 2022, 16:00I've read some posts on Youtube calling it a good fight.KiwiRider wrote: ↑05 Sep 2022, 15:38
