What do you mean?

4 options being 9,10,11, 1 or below vs. remain 8?

It would be simple to go with the majority..

Just as many are saying he shouldn't remain at 8 (in Ortiz's case)..

Usually best to find a middle..
I think in an instance like this it'd be better to either go with the majority, or make a new poll asking whether Ortiz should remain at 8 or be dropped down (just those two options). If the latter wins, then you ask whether he should go to 9, 10, 11, or 12/below (or however is best to do it).

we have 15 voting for him to be 10 or lower, 11 voting for him to stay at 8

clearly this works out to him dropping

most voters think he should be no higher than 10

why bother with that when most voters already voted for him to drop?

15 votes: 10 or below
11 votes: stay at 8

having 3 votes on one guy's rating is a bit tedious and i think ppl will lose interest

Yeh, no need for endless polls.. We'll be here for ages.

Of course, no matter where he goes, whether he remains or drops however many places, not everyone is gonna agree,, But then again, not everyone agrees with many P4P list from Ring, TBRB or ESPN etc.. That's the whole point.

TBRB have dropped Ortiz only one place, to go below Wallin..

C Oleksandr Usyk
1 Anthony Joshua
2 Deontay Wilder
3 Andy Ruiz Jr.
4 Joseph Parker
5 Joe Joyce
6 Dillian Whyte
7 Otto Wallin
8 Luis Ortiz
9 Michael Hunter
10 Martin Bakole

The Ring actually entered Zhang in at #10 on the back of his controversial loss against Hrg.

Can’t you just average the votes? And for the exercise just count 12/bellow as 12 (big generous to Ortiz but thats fair.

11x8ths
4x10ths
2x 11ths
9x12ths

258/26 = basically 10.

So by my calculation he should move to 10th.

Median sounds good. Presume Makhmudov-Takam will be the next one we look at, and then Joyce-Parker after that?

I respect TBRB and I think they do quite a good job, overall. However, I can't understand why they have Hunter at number 9.

Over the last 4 years Hunter beat Bakolie and Kuzman and probably should of beat pre Covid povetkin. Done fuk all since and I agree he is too high but I can see the justification.

Otto is the weird one for me. Beat breazeal that’s it. For his entire career. Sure he cut fury, but scoring wise ottos fight with soko was much closer than his fight with fury.

I think that Ortiz is pretty solid win at HW. One of the best scalps this year that got taken. Ruiz needed the good beard to get the win. Took couple of heavy and clean shots but was not too troubled by them.

I voted Ruiz up to 4. I had him winning the Parker fight way back when it happened. The win over Joshua is a big deal too. I see no problem moving him above Parker.

Ortiz is starting to show that age a bit. Chin and legs are starting to give. Still high level operator at HW but I feel like this fight should move him down a bit. My vote was to 10.

That's that then.. Will be back in a week after Mak vs. Tak.

Who'd have thought Chisora would have cracked our top 10..

Only 9 months ago, he was on his way out of the top 15.
