Ah thanks - that’s it. It’s tough to keep up with him. Clever move from AJ though - taking a lower percentage with it actually being the same amount.

Great pay day for Joshua, might as go out with a bang and a millions . He has nothing to lose with this one and will be a big underdog for the first time since Klitschko

i always believed him but then i heard him quite often on the friday sport thing on radio 5 live and he just came across as such a nice chap, I'd believe him every time.

Same. Always found him really likeable. Met him after one of his fights early in his career and he seemed such a nice fella.

Fury's defensive skills are very over rated, hence the untutored Wilder dropped him four times. And on the spectrum of bulletproof chins between Pele Reid and Oliver McCall Tyson is somewhere in the middle. I think at the very least Joshua wobbles him at some point if it happens.

Tyson is much closer to McCall than Reid. Tyson may get dropped but I don’t think I’ve seen a fighter recover better from a knockdown than him.

I like this move by Joshua. If he had sat down and said "What could I do that would genuinely surprise the Fury camp and throw them off balance a bit?", then accepting one of the challenges Fury put out on social media would have been it. How fit is Fury currently? While there are nearly 12 weeks to until December, could the Joshua camp be thinking on the same lines as Leonard's camp did when scheduling the Duran rematch? Things still point to a Fury win, and I'll believe it is happening only when the first bell rings, but this is still progress compared to previous years.

I agree it's far from being a certainty of happening - however if it does, then I feel the December date is perfect for Joshua .. as close to perfect preparation, and whilst his confidence may have took a bit of a bashing - it has the potential to feed his motivation to another level.

Fury starts a huge favourite of course, however, I feel it will be a lot closer due to both guys weaknesses and strengths gelling perfectly.

But .. it's Fury we are dealing with so expect the unexpected .. and Tom Schwartz 2

Fury fans aren't the brightest. Calling Joshua washed up not two weeks ago, but now he's signed to fight Fury (for the second tme) We're suddenly expected by the Fury nut huggers to not find fault with Fury for taking the fight. Those that swing off of Fury's nuts have been quick to point out Joshua has lost 3 of his last 5. Yet here we are.

Can you imagine the tears if Joshua cold clocks him.

WBC Prez: Anthony Joshua Entered The Ratings On His Merits

The World Boxing Council has finally ranked Anthony Joshua in their top ten - which WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman explains was done because the British star is no longer aligned with another sanctioning body.

Most see the ranking as a calculated move, because Joshua's handlers are in talks for a year-end fight with WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

"Joshua entered the ratings [on] his merits and since he does not have any commitment for another organization," Sulaiman said to Sky Sports.

"He was not rated before because he was champion of other organizations and then he was signed to fight for other organizations."

Joshua is a former two-time IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO world champion. The only belt that he never captured was the WBC strap.

The ranking allows the WBC to sanction Joshua as a voluntary challenger to Fury's belt.

Joshua initially lost his unified crown in 2019, when he was stopped in seven rounds by Andy Ruiz. He regained the title six months later with a dominant twelve round decision.

In September of 2021, Joshua lost the titles again - when he was outboxed over twelve rounds by Oleksandr Usyk. Last month, Joshua was unable to regain the titles, because Usyk once again came out on top with a twelve round decision win.

Fury was initially pushing for a fight with Usyk. The Ukrainian boxer made it clear that he doesn't plan to fight again until early 2023. He wants to spend some time with his family and heal up injuries from the Joshua rematch.

His chin is nowhere near the level of McCall, who took full blooded bombs from big Len without even blinking. Even way past his best he was going the distance with much younger fighters.

He has a decent chin, but nothingoutstanding.

He does have very good powers of recovery though.
