Not one pick for GGG from the experts/pundits. Its really hard to see how he can possibly win, but i'm just hoping against all odds he does.

Canelos a cheating ginger prick. No wins in the trilogy is really going to be a stain on GGG's legacy... but we all know thst at the very least its 1-1, and thats being generous to canelo.

Cant see a route to victory for GGG, canelos already taken his power and at 40 in a new weight division i think his previous stamina down the stretch advantage has also gone. Hope he doesnt get stopped.

I’m not sure what you’d expect promotion wise for this in the U.K. There’s been nothing outside of social and YouTube but in fairness there’s now loads about it.

I do wonder how much promotion there’s been in the US. Previously they would have had HBO pushing it heavily on HBO in the days and weeks leading up to it. Obviously there was more demand to see the fight then than now after GGG has been on the shelf and Canelo recently losing but I’m surprised they’ve seemingly got 1,000 or so tickets left (expensive bottom tier tickets) - I’d be amazed if they had tickets left in fight week previously. I’m sure it’ll still sell out and do well but I can’t see it doing 700k+ buys in the US.

Yeah - there’s been nothing over here about it on mainstream media but there wasn’t a great deal for it in their last fight apart from BT pushing and the odd article here and there.

DAZN aren’t doing much outside of their bubble but they are pushing heavy on YouTube/social now and I’m sure have a big email database to push the fight to. I get emails from Fite TV every time they have a decent PPV so I’d be surprised if DAZN don’t do the same.

You’re right in there being nothing to watch on DAZN relating to the fight but I think if you subscribe to DAZN, at least in the U.K., then you’ll know about the fight. Ultimately the U.K. numbers are probably 1% of the total revenue of the fight but it’ll be interesting to see how it performs in the US.

Just saw a recent interview on Seconds Out with GGG and when asked what a win would mean to him he said he "just wants a clean sport"

I had a dream about this fight. I saw Golovkin being very aggressive, even more than in the first fight, so that Canelo could only try to protect himself and counter, again more than in the first bout. Golovkin was objectively outboxing/outfighting Canelo and taking the majority of rounds clearly, but in the 6th round he hit Canelo and broke his hand badly, so that he was unable to continue. The fight was ruled out as TD, they went to the scorecards up to the 6th and there was a controversial SD draw.
