GGG won 9 10 11. That's pretty much it.
You're not even giving him the 12, where he pretty much handily won? Okay, you're not arguing in good faith then.
You're the only one in this forum and probably in the whole boxing community that saw GGG win, and I'm the one without good faith... Whatever man. Stay clean.
Hey, DAZN commentary were pretty convincing trying to up Canelo's missed shots or shots that landed on the gloves. As I said, I can break down all the close rounds, and how I got my scorecard. I've not seen anyone do the same yet. Easily because they'll see that I'm right.

If you want to compromise and say GGG won rounds 9, 10, 11, and 12. That's already 4 rounds with the first 2 being close. I don't think anyone can reasonably argue that Canelo handily swept the first 2 rounds. You also have one round in the middle where I even state that Canelo took off and you can easily have Golovkin edging it.

Round 9 was the only round GGG won pretty clearly, yet only 1 judge gave him the round. Those scorecards are so odd!
I had it 10-2, could maybe see 9-3 but nothing closer than that.

Wow that is a lot of empty seats alright, like a Hughie Fury headliner.

Christ that was dull. Canelo didn’t look the same at all. Maybe the weight changes have done for him a bit

Lackluster fight, I'm glad I chose to sleep instead of watching it live. Well, still there's nothing surprising in it, since it was obvious, that Golovkin had aged.

Wonder if the ppv made good numbers?
The venue sales looked poor, maybe 60% attendance.
We will know if the ppv numbers are low because they won't tell us

Im always sceptical of those empty seats videos. unless they also show canelo and GGG in the ring. Otherwise they could be from earlier in the night really. Think it would of been very near full.

Do think the PPV may struggle, DAZN is the hip new internet world.... people that know the hip new internet (me included) streamed it. Im not getting mugged off paying PPV DAZN for this, when iv had a DAZN subscription for months with fuckkk all cards on.

Alvarez did what he was supposed to do. People forgetting he is coming from a pretty bad loss. Both played it somewhat safe. Golovkin is just 40 years old and he showed it. If he will continue fighting, he would take more losses. Canelo vs Charlo is fight i wanna to see :box: :box: :box:

My thoughts on the ppv:

Not impressed by Ammo Williams.

Watching Rosado lose has gotten old, if he's not going to retire the networks need to stop having him on their broadcasts.

Rodriguez is the real deal and fun to watch.

118-110 Canelo in a boring fight that had me struggling to stay awake.
GGG is long in the tooth but Canelo did not look good either. Canelo has clearly started his decline imo.

Why did dazn have a fourth commentator last night? Three is more than enough, a fourth talking head has zero positive value.

Scorecards were okay, I don't know why some are complaining.

1. GGG close 10-9
2. Canelo 10-9
3. Canelo 10-9
4. Canelo 10-9
5. Canelo 10-9
6. Canelo close 10-9
7. Canelo 10-9
8. Canelo close 10-9
9. GGG 10-9
10. GGG 10-9
11. GGG 10-9
12. GGG close 10-9

115-113 for Canelo.

The judges were accurate and honest for once.

There were two or three rounds that could have gone either way, depending on personal stylistic preference.

So, scorecards ranging from 118-110 to 116-112 are entirely reasonable.

But it’s a moot point anyway, because Canelo had already won the fight on the scorecards after eight rounds.

When he entered the ninth round, GGG knew he had to stop Canelo to win the fight.

And even though Golovkin upped his pace, he never tried to force the stoppage. In fact, he allowed Canelo to coast the final rounds without feeling threatened.

Team GGG made an enormous tactical error, because they were far too negative during the first eight rounds.

There’s really no point in finishing the final few rounds strong at the cost of losing the first two-thirds of the bout.

That said, Canelo underperformed too. He’s looking like a fighter that’s already past-his-prime.

He’s had far too many competitive bouts recently. His pace has dropped and has fallen into a regular pattern of fatiguing after eight rounds. He is looking like a fighter with a half-empty gas tank at the beginning of bouts.

He’s carrying multiple injuries, due to the wear-and-tear of a seventeen-year boxing career. And he could become a shot fighter before he reaches his 34th birthday.

Canelo is obviously still a great fighter, capable of beating the vast majority of his peers, but he’s not the man he once was.

At this point in time, I genuinely believe that Canelo is destined to suffer another upset loss within the next two or three bouts, because he’s got the look of a fighter that’s ready-for-the-taking.

Agree. It's ironic anyone would even mention Canelo getting cheated on scoring. :OhYes:

It wasn’t the worst fight, but considering what we saw them first 2 bouts.

I wasn’t expecting it to begin from round 25..
