To be fair - ridiculous clauses in contracts have been around a very long time. Obvious old time one being Joe Louis v Jim Braddock.forcefraser wrote: ↑24 Sep 2022, 02:21 Imagine the contract between two fighters back in the 70's

Simple. The circus we see today results in the best not fighting the best the majority of the time.

True, but it didn't stop them from fighting
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - December 2022?
True.
Back then despite giving away 10% of future fights - it was still the gateway to riches.
Joshua is fabulously rich already. So he isn`t going to be so desperate - so fWank only has to put in some ridiculous clauses which would make Joshua step back. Unfortunately 99% knew this would be the reality of Furys call out.

I was being flippanttonyevs wrote: ↑24 Sep 2022, 02:06Most of what's been written about Fury comes from his or his dad's mouth - which as we know is 99x out of hundred a load of nonsense.Coco wrote: ↑23 Sep 2022, 16:16Tyson was brought up in a mansion and went to public schooltonyevs wrote: ↑23 Sep 2022, 15:45 Predictably it has been proved that Fury didn`t have any genuine intention of fighting Joshua next; it was just another attention seeking play.
Joshua did the right thing by accepting ... but we all kinda knew fWank would clear up Fury`s verbal shite by making the terms so ridiculous that Joshua would never be able to agree to them.
We always make an assumption that our top athletes are as cognitively gifted as they are gifted in the sports they excel in. This is almost always wrong - Fury probably had less education that most contemporary sports people - and unfortunately it shows. He is pig shit stupid to be fair.
Depending what you read - Fury lived in a modest house to a mansion when young .. of course it was built by hand by Big John alone to add that Fury flavour to it ..
But I have never read anything of Fury attending school/education past 11yrs old .. I think you may be confusing fee paying public school with a state school available to the general public.
Tbh I have no idea about his early life

Why is charr even being mentioned. If he is going to take the piss might as well just fight Dave Allen.

Funny how Fury dismisses Usyk as a middleweight yet seems overly keen to fight Charr who got stoved in from Briedis

They probably arranged to meet to try sell a fight between them for December 3rd .. Fury definitely needs new material; he is just so predictable now

In fairness Louis/Braddock is something of an anomaly tho. The trend of big fights we want to see the most not happening is a very modern one, beginning with Bowe vs Lewis and petty rival managers having too much to lose etctonyevs wrote: ↑24 Sep 2022, 09:38To be fair - ridiculous clauses in contracts have been around a very long time. Does this mean you think Fury`s videos are ridiculous too Mick?mickey1975 wrote: ↑25 Sep 2022, 12:12 AJ at it now making ridiculous videos. He's become a laughing stock.
I just seen Joshua`s video on youtube - no idea if its the one you referring to - one where he is in a park or somewhere and saying of course he`ll sign the contract?
To be fair to Joshua`s there was no talk of middleweights, bodybuilders, or sausages .. so nowhere near as ridiculous as any of Fury`s last few vids.
Lets hope the fight gets made now. It seems Hearn has played this to keep Fury`s back against the wall and difficult for him to back out of; but lets wait and see ..

Tony, for a guy who is bored by it, you seem to spend an awful lot of time watching Fury videos.... Of course I think most are ridiculous, I wouldn't even know they were out there if you didn't keep promoting them.tonyevs wrote: ↑25 Sep 2022, 13:15Does this mean you think Fury`s videos are ridiculous too Mick?mickey1975 wrote: ↑25 Sep 2022, 12:12 AJ at it now making ridiculous videos. Have said this many times before, but I wish Joshua would just embrace being a bad boy, that’s clearly where he’s more natural and comfortable. Forget all this fake humble shit.
