I had a wee flutter early on when the odds were better for Parker. I believe they have closed up a bit now.

Watching it in a Sheffield pub that is normally rammed for PPV boxing. Just me and 14 others. There's only one other bloke who seems to be watching. They're playing music until the Joyce fight. Oof.

doesnt fluid protect the brain
Algieri once said that creatine is the most important supplement for boxers, because when you retain water it protects your brain better. I have no idea about that stuff but it sort of makes sense considering the consensus that dehydration makes you more prone to Brian injuries.

Yes, until it is sloshing around in there.
Concussion by Michael Lipman is a good read, first hand account of CTE as well as the science behind it and the American grid iron studies.

Evened up a bit in the later rounds there. Decent enough fight. Serrano should get it, though.

When they first announced the Joyce v Parker fight I groaned with disappointment as I’ve never been a fan of the Kiwi.

But over the last week I’ve been made into a believer that the guy could be a serious threat to Joyce.

You lot better not be having me on!

I'm not a fan of Parker either, but this should be close and we will know by the end if Joyce is ready for the big time

Hate to go against a boxer I like (Joyce) but I've had a few small bets on Parker. They both seem two decent blokes though.

Final prediction JJJ to lose 4 rounds before stopping Parker in the 8th. Total punt.
