Was still rising at 9. Holding the ropes and facing the wrong way. Pretty sure he didn’t beat the count.

A big win for JJ

Maybe Parker fought the wrong fight.

He hung in there for the 11 rounds. Both throwing bombs.

JJ didn’t feel anything. Just kept coming forward.

Yeah, crazy generous. 5-2 going into the 8th was nuts.

Fantastic tear up, very violent, and that stoppage is real statement. Parker very game and brave but Joyce is the real deal.

He has to be top 5 now. Fury, Usyk, AJ, Wilder and then Slow Joe.

I've championed him for a long time, so it feels good to be vindicated.

He is in a mandatory position now, just have to keep busy until a title fight.
I think Fury, Usyk and Wilder if he csn pull the trigger, beats him. But no one else.

Joyce reminds me of Foreman in some ways. Slow, keeps coming forward, too strong, robot like etc. Nowhere near as much violent intent and much much slower starter but better stamina. He's going to take some beating.

Joyce vs Joshua is the fight now if AJ vs Fury doesn't happen.
Sorry bud but totally disagree. Parker been insome great fights and always comes to win and a lovely fella by all accounts out the ring. Happy to see him retire now, doubt it happens like.

Beating Parker is something.
Beating Parker like that is impressing!

Joyce impressed me a lot tonight.
He's a walking doomsday.
Maybe I'm a bit overimpressed I don't know. :box:

When I was a kid a had these plastic toy boxer things that you pressed a button on the back and the arms used to come out in a straight action . JJ reminds me so much of them things all except he's chiseled from granite and not plastic .
I'd think he'd give anyone a tough night including Fury .

Career best showing from Joyce capped off by a highlight reel KO, tremendous, Joyce was immense, controlled everything even when Parker won rounds Joyce was calm and composed, Parker landed the right hand and Joyce as expected ate them like skittles, walked Parker down, ramrodding the jab down his throat and landing that big right hand, Parker has an incredible chin as well but the noticeable effect punches were having on both men was night and day, Parker who was in terrible shape looked knacker after about 3 rounds and was fighting on heart by then, Joyce would land and Parker would almost be running and near turning his back to get out of danger

I don't even think Joyce looked that slow tonight and his punching and pressuring was elite level, it was a pummeling and the left hook for the KO in the 11th was spectacular, the juggernaut rolls on

Stamina was always going to be the issue, parker coming in heavy didnt seem very smart. but i think he thought he could slow joyce with bombs. unfortunatly he landed a fair few absolute peaches and joyce hardly flinched.

Would love to see joyce vs usyk over 12 rounds...

Plenty of good fights left for parker too.

Massive credit to the much maligned Joyce.

Say what you want about style and technique and speed but no way is fight him!

Took parkers best shots and low blow and kept coming, working body and head and a good jab.

"Simple" and effective, great engine too must put the work in and therefore deserves it

ya, from round 2 or 3 on parker was floppy, distressed, and getting manhandled around in there. he landed plenty but joyce was making a far bigger impact with everything he did. the juggernaut is such freak. crazy to me that some people had it even/parker ahead!

That’s how I see it. Nice guy and decent heavy, but a long way away from the top level really. Life and death with Chisora twice, lost to Whyte and just tried to defend against Joshua.

Still can’t say I’m really sold on Joyce either tbh, but definitely has certain attributes to make things extremely uncomfortable for the top guys.

I don’t know what Parker could have done differently there. He had plenty of spells on the back foot but was getting stung with shots whatever he did.
