87 - 84 JJ, slowly but constantly picking his shots.

Parker with a flurry in the end of 10nth, but can't even fade the Juggernaut. Parker needs to throw punches.. rare jabs... but the other dude just ... and Parker down.

JJ KO!
I think Parker was exhausted more than anything but fair play to JJ. His biggest win to date!

Man, what an uppercut by Joe! So, are we going to see Joyce/Usyk "II"?
At least we got one fresh, undefeated new name in the mix.

Dominate JJ performance. Parker showed serious heart and a chin regardless of rd 11.
JJ is a tough man who intelligently uses his physicality.

I don’t believe he lost heart. I also don’t believe he had a lot of success early on.

Stamina wise Parker looked like the Ali of the Holmes fight. You're supposed to be a world class fighter and you can't even throw a few punches without looking like you're moving around under water? I hope this is the last time I see Parker.
Oh, and Usyk-Joyce would be 120-108.

Joyce walked through the dangerous one shot right hand of Parker's again and again.
Parker's style depends upon getting a regular breather but Joyce didn't allow him one.
Brilliant performance by Joyce on a great night for boxing.
2 unforgettable images that will live long in the memory.
Parker's knockout in slow motion and the diminutive Ismael Salas stood next to his towering protege Joe Joyce.

Joyce is a freak of nature. Would love to see him in with Wilder and take a few of his best shots clean.

I think Wilder would break his hands if they ever fought.Gran Hermano wrote: ↑24 Sep 2022, 18:55 Joyce is a freak of nature. Would love to see him in with Wilder and take a few of his best shots clean.

Joyce should go to bare knuckle boxing and just win every fight by "Drs stoppage" when his opponents hands are too mangled to continue.Verdi wrote: ↑24 Sep 2022, 19:06I think Wilder would break his hands if they ever fought.Gran Hermano wrote: ↑24 Sep 2022, 18:55 Joyce is a freak of nature. Re: Joe Joyce vs. Joseph Parker | ESPN - September 24, 2022
Interesting fight. The difference was that Joyce had a plan and Parker didn't. Joyce flustered Parker the whole fight with little jabs, and Parker tried to respond with power every so often, but didn't have a strategy to make it work.
Mike Tyson said everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth, but Joyce had a plan, he got punched in the mouth, very hard, on several occasions, but he still had a plan and he stuck to it.
Eventually those little jabs added up and—just like DuBois—Parker found himself with an eye injury that thwarted him the rest of the fight.
In the 6th, Joyce came out super-strong looking to end things, but Parker was too resilient and wouldn't yield, even came back strong at the end of the round. So Joyce went back to the plan, lots of jabs and forward pressure.
By the 11th, there had been too many close rounds for Joyce's corner's liking, he was clearly "winning the fight" but round by round and with the judges, who knows? If Parker had won the last 2 rounds then two of the cards would have been razor-thin. Joyce in the 11th again tried what he did in the 6th round, going for big shots, knowing he'd taken Parker's best and it hadn't fazed him.
After a minute Joyce backed off for a breather, but Parker was totally worn out. Joyce then hit with that big left and Parker was throttled. Even if he'd made it to his feet it would have been waved off, he was out of it.
Great performance by Joyce, even better FIGHT PLAN by Joyce and his corner, and great job by Joyce in sticking to the plan. This is an underrated element in fighters today, and Joyce totally personifies it. Against Dubois he wasn't nearly as in control in terms of winning rounds, but he knew the end result would be a worn-down opponent. He stuck to the plan then, and he stuck to the plan against Parker and it paid off in both cases.
Helps to be oblivious to getting hit, too, so that the Mike Tyson maxim doesn't apply to him.

A fantastic performance by Joe Joyce. He keeps surpassing my personal expectations.
His durability, engine, work-rate, jab and discipline are definitely his main strengths.
Joyce took a few low blows from Parker, but kept moving forward, throwing shots.
Joyce also withstood several fast heavy-handed combinations from Parker, but kept moving forward, throwing shots.
I'd favour Joyce to beat the likes of Joshua, Whyte and Ruiz Jr.
His natural fighting style is weirdly reminiscent of the tactics Fury used against Wilder in their second fight, which means that Joe would have an excellent shot at upsetting 'The Bronze Bomber' if he could avoid getting hurt during the first few rounds.
In terms of Joseph Parker, he used the wrong tactics. I expected him to box during the early rounds, but decided to trade, which essentially scuppered his chances to defeat Joyce.
I don't think the outcome of this fight hurt the careers of either man, since both can move forward and enjoy more big fights, with Joyce challenging for a world title and Parker rematching the likes of Joshua, Whyte and Ruiz Jr.
My only concern is whether the sustained beating Parker received from Joyce will adversely affect his mindset entering future bouts. The Kiwi took a brutal pummeling.
