The TV networks only met yesterday. How’s Joshua meant to sign for it when he’s got a contractual obligation to fight on DAZN worldwide and they haven’t yet had discussions with BT and ESPN?
Were they unaware of the fight until yesterday?
Do you think DAZN won't want to show the fight?

I’m sure they were aware of it and I’m sure they all had points they wanted to be addressed. Of course DAZN would want to show the fight. They’d want to show it globally as that’s the deal they have with AJ. Warren himself said there was no way it was being signed pre 5pm yesterday.

They should do BT PPV in UK, ESPN in the US and DAZN everywhere else worldwide.. Simple..
But it's never that simple.

I can’t see DAZN signing off on that when the biggest market by a mile is the U.K. for this and they have an exclusive deal with one of the fighters.

Should do what they donw when Mike tyson(showtime) and lennox Lewis(hbo) fought, have it on both and let the customer decide who they want to purchase from.

Yeah - In the U.K. and US they should and can. What about the rest of the world? DAZN have that for AJ, not sure if Tyson has a contractual deal with anyone for that. So it goes to DAZN. They’d need to agree a price. Or a % of PPV revenue if they can do PPV in every market they’re in. They’d also need to agree how much budget each network is setting for marketing.

All the various vested interests here must be as aware as we are that the window in which this fight can earn megabucks is closing pretty fast. You’d think they’d wanna strike while the iron’s still hot.

I’m sure they do realise but they met for the first time yesterday afternoon to thrash it out. Warren himself said it wasn’t going to be done by 5pm.
It’s a fight that doesn’t need 12 weeks of promotion. Obviously the more the better but the difference of week (this week or next week) at this point isn’t much.

Why do I feel like both promotional teams are still trying to get this done? Eddie has been very quiet.
They were on Monday and I’m sure they still are now. Will be a question if Tyson goes back on his word of not fighting AJ as his random deadline has passed.
It does seem like negotiations are still going on. As someone else remarked, it will be very interesting to see if Charr suddenly enters the WBC top 15 rankings.

Joshua and Hearn are the CLOWNS of boxing.
A 3 time loser doesn't call the shots.
The PROPAGANDA machine by the Hearns won't work.
If you want a laugh watch AJ lose it in the ring after the Usyk 2 fight and the post fight press conference where he CRYS like a baby.
Fury has literally not been in with anyone as good as Andy Ruiz or Uysk. He'll definitely be getting beat by Uysk if he does find some bottle from somewhere and fights him.
A shame he never had a trilogy fight with John McDermott. They are 1 wins a piece in that mini series.

Ruiz will never be ranked above Wlad. Ever.
Not overall, no; but it wasn't a prime Wlad that Fury beat. Andy Ruiz with fast, heavy hands and a granite chin, is a harder night's work than the version of Wlad that Fury faced. Far more dangerous.

Serious Q though.
Where you you rate Wladimir on the ATG Heavyweights list?
Ballpark number……
Wlad ranks very highly in his overall career.
However at the stage he met Fury he was literally at the very end and very far off his peak.
That he got stopped in his previous 4 losses, but Fury couldn't do that, says lots too.

It will be a shame for Fury if he goes down the route of giving Joshua and Uysk the swerve. He is a really fine fighter but he is in danger of going down as a fighter that cherry picked his opponents and avoided his biggest threat. I don't think that view would he a fair reflection of his career, by the way, but that's how some people might see it.
Hmm... Why do I get the impression he is not going to fight Usyk anytime soon.
Now he is saying Joyce is #2 behind himself, and they should both fight each other.
Don't forget to include the contractual dig at matchroom fighters, Hrgovic and Zhang.
Queensbury and Fury are getting boring now.
Think it's time to avoid any media content that has a passing mention of Fury. Absolute waste of energy at this point

His weak chin got cracked by the inferior boxers in his early losses. No one legitimately outboxed Klit either before Fury or after him.
