Iain John Lewis
British boxing can breathe a sigh of relief with the news Iain John Lewis has joined the BIBA organisation, unfortunately they have no more shows arranged this year yet ?? .
Re: Iain John Lewis
I did hear a rumour he was taking legal action against the board.

Re: Iain John Lewis
Big step down from doing regular world title fights to reffing in local community centres.

Re: Iain John Lewis
Boxing official Ian John-Lewis leaves the BBBofC after being downgraded as a judge
His last involvement in professional boxing was the Josh Taylor vs Jack Catterall fight where he was downgraded as a judge from an A Star Class to an A Class Official for his controversial scorecard.

Re: Iain John Lewis
It’s strange that BIBA are still saying that he’s an A star class referee when that is not the case
Re: Iain John Lewis
Thought he was dead tbh.
Re: Iain John Lewis
Stretching pedantry there mate
Is this going to turn into another 100 page anti-BIBA thread?
It's nuts how we all moan about the self appointed BBBofC and their lack of transparency and accountability, yet when a possible alternative emerges then the same people immediately shoot them down before they have even started

Re: Iain John Lewis
I have no love at all for BIBA. But, noting that BIBA has a training course for referees and judges, could I ask how many training courses (whether annually or at all) the BBBofC has? By which I mean training, not review, so the annual review process for referees announced by the BBBofC post Taylor-Catterall would not count. Genuine question.

So no answer so far on this one.olij999 wrote: ↑29 Sep 2022, 06:46 I have no love at all for BIBA. Board, probably the least diverse British company. All middle-aged/old white guys. some kind of cult/club.
