Demetrius Andrade to duck Zach Parker?

Post by Enlightened-One »

Demetrius Andrade has mismanaged his own career and, assuming the prediction of this tweet comes to fruition, then Boo Boo will inevitably end up fighting another journeyman next.

Thoughts?

Andrada should just retire or push for a fight with Benavidez on PBC.

Stephen Espinoza confirmed that Showtime tried to sign Demetrius Andrade during late 2019, with a view to orchestrating the Jermall Charlo bout, but Boo Boo rejected the offer.

Demetrius Andrade’s own lawsuit notes his lawyers filed against Roc Nation actually confirmed that he rejected a career-high purse of $550K and a multi-fight deal with Showtime when he ducked Jermell Charlo for a bout scheduled during December 2014.

In addition to Andrade ducking PBC fighters like both of the Charlo twins, he’s also ducked other Haymon guys, such as: Sergiy Derevyanchenko, Matt Korobov, and also the winner of the Lara-Hurd title unification bout.

So why should the PBC consider working with Andrade when he’s refused opportunities to face at least five fighters from their stable? And he's also rejected two multi-fight deals from Showtime?

Anyway, a few months ago, Stephen Espinoza confirmed Showtime’s disinterest in getting involved with Demetrius Andrade.

He claims that Andrade has lacked visibility by competing on DAZN and also lacked credibility, based on the calibre of opposition he’s faced. He doesn’t feel that there’s any demand to see Demetrius compete.

And to be fair, Matchroom agree with Espinoza’s stance, otherwise they wouldn’t have dumped him.

None of boxing's key players in the US tried to bid for Andrade's WBO interim title bout against Zach Parker, which means they aren't interested in him.

But in the meantime, what does Demetrius Andrade do? He’s got nothing to offer any of his big-name peers (i.e. no title, no mandatory challenger status and no purse). And none of the big promoters or main networks want to work with him.

Anyway, let's not forget that Demetrius Andrade ducked Zhanibek Alimkhanuly twice and is on the cusp of refusing to face Zach Parker.

There is a strong possibility that for unknown reasons Andrade may not be willing to accept a fight against Benavidez. Even if both need a dance partner and a reasonable offer is made.

Maybe Andrade is financial secured, so if a big fight comes then its all good , if not , there is no problem.

The WBO should drop him from their rankings, because within the last ten months, he's refused to perform a mandatory defence twice, vacated his world title and then twice refused to participate for the interim strap, which has adversely affected the careers of Zhanibek Alimkhanuly and Zach Parker, since both men were kept in limbo and forced to remain inactive due to Boo Boo's misconduct.

You may be right. The strange thing about a mexican fighter like Benavidez,( although he is an exciting fighter to watch, who comes to trade punches), is that he is pretty much in the same situation like Andrade- who is a "boring" fighter to watch.

25 y.o Benavidez is young but the years fly very fast and he could get in the same position as Andrade. I think Bena should push to get some good names on his resume like Andrade, Charla, Plant.

I only asking you some simple questions.

Why are you deflecting?

If you're a huge fan of Demetrius Andrade and feel honour-bound to defend him at all cost, then own it. Take pride in your fanaticism. You're entitled to deeply respect Boo Boo's "remarkable" career, even if others won't.

We might not agree, but at least I'd understand your stance on the matter.

Andrade is everything wrong with modern boxing personified. He should just retire.. he is a nonentity and will never be spoken of once he's gone.

One thing about a troll like EO, he's proving to be Andrade's biggest fan, keeping his name relevent. Reminds me of Floyd's fans, that hated him, Ali's too.

I get the fact that Andrade doesn't want a small purse, that would barely cover expenses, but he has made his bed, and will have to lie in it.

Parker had little chance. Andrade wants more money, but since his career has been mismanaged, he's not where he should be to demand high purses. His 3 "ducks" were all from fights he stood to make less than $250K. Sometimes you need to take smaller purses to build your brand, but he refuses. Smh

Demetrius Andrade keeps ducking big name opposition, but also claims all the big name opponents are ducking him.

He then blames the reason for turning down fights due to inadequate paydays, but somehow it's better for him to not fight anyone and not get paid by anyone?

Anyone supporting Demetrius Andrade right now is a füçkïng moron to hideously obscene levels!

And you claiming that Andrade would only earn $250K for the Alimkhanulyfights is fûçkïñg outrageous to horrendously ignorant levels!!!

ANDRADE WASN'T EVEN WILLING TO PARTICIPATE IN A FÜÇKÎÑG PURSE BID!!!!

What's the point? Minimum bid was set at $200k. 75% of even twice that is peanuts for a beltholder. Janibek is just another scrub like Andrade's been beating. Andrade is not well known and Janibek, no one knows him at all.
