f@cking nice run maxi is on eh
doesnt he work full time in building or another trade too? imagine what he could do if he'd been 100 percent boxing this whole time

Galahad on 2 losses in a row.

Think he give up work for a year when a sponsor paid for him to go full time for a year after he beat Strap-on. That’s probably getting renewed very soon.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑24 Sep 2022, 19:10 f@cking nice run maxi is on eh

Got a feeling he’s on the verge of a huge fight tbh.

Re: Round-by-Round: Maxi Hughes vs. Kid Galahad | DAZN - 24 September 2022
I had Hughes running out a wide 117-110 winner, a lot of swing rounds so could easily be closer but as much as Galahad pressed forward all night, switching, flicking out nothing jabs I thought was pretty ineffective and looked totally gun shy as well as dirty, lost a point for repeated use of the head in the 10th which should've come earlier, I cant remember him landing a single power punch until the 11th when he caught Hughes flush with a left hand
As I say a lot of close rounds so he might have nicked a few more but for me Hughes jab and success with the back left hand was picking up all the closer rounds, caught Galahad repeatedly with it all night, really good win for Hughes, more than deserved, kept cool, never got flustered with Galahad's feet pressure and boxed, moved and landed nearly all the eye catching punches

There was a few close rounds that could have gone to Kid.. which may have given a closer fight on the cards.
I think they were close bur clear Hughes rounds.

Re: Round-by-Round: Maxi Hughes vs. Kid Galahad | DAZN - 24 September 2022
To be fair to Eddie he lost a cracking main event and had to make do with a solid chief support headlining, undercard was poor as well in all fairness but better to keep show on, get the rest of the boxers out rather than scrap the whole card
I didn't care too much for Frank's undercard either, decent enough on paper but no barnburners, Essuman/Antwi and Cacace/Magnesi were 6/10 imo, the rest was worse
Joyce/Parker more than made up for it though, that was the bollocks

Daft putting it on the same night when there are plenty of blank Saturdays especially when the main event was binnedRuthless-RKO wrote: ↑25 Sep 2022, 05:33 Propa #GAMECHANGED!

Maxi seems like a nice fella, good luck to him
Re: Round-by-Round: Maxi Hughes vs. Kid Galahad | DAZN - 24 September 2022
great win for maxi he centennially wasnt out classed by kid which i thought he might of been, i had it close a lot of draw rds i guess maxi was champ did kid do enough no do think so lot of nastiness rubbing the glove wrist in maxis face ,pushing the head back. maxi got some decent digs of good luck to the boy he is riding the cart to wheels come off
Re: Round-by-Round: Maxi Hughes vs. Kid Galahad | DAZN - 24 September 2022
yea i agree i had a lot of 10 10 aswell ,i think kid couldn't get to grips with maxi i know he is a switch fighter but he was switching nearly after every clinch shows he couldnt get a foot hold in the match which he couldnt, maxi had a good work rate all fighthandsofstone wrote: ↑25 Sep 2022, 05:05 I had Hughes running out a wide 117-110 winner, a lot of swing rounds so could easily be closer but as much as Galahad pressed forward all night, switching, flicking out nothing jabs I thought was pretty ineffective and looked totally gun shy as well as dirty, lost a point for repeated use of the head in the 10th which should've come earlier, I cant remember him landing a single power punch until the 11th when he caught Hughes flush with a left hand

dom full of sour grapes, complaining about everything, bitter towards kid's opponents
Re: Round-by-Round: Maxi Hughes vs. Kid Galahad | DAZN - 24 September 2022
I usually do like Dom's interviews , he usually calls it has he see's it , he's absolutly grew up in boxing and knows his stuff , but sometimes he does seem to come across that he's the only one with an opinion worth anything , but overall he's obviously a very good trainer , knows his stuff and worth listening too ,,, You don't have the success that gym has without being up there with the best ,. Whats more he starts them from scratch , does'nt pinch them with bullshit and bouquets , much like some othersmargaret thatcher wrote: ↑01 Oct 2022, 04:25 dom full of sour grapes, complaining about everything, bitter towards kid's opponents

This card wasn't great let's be honest but it did lose a cracking main event, I'm all for promoters not bowing to pressure and guaranteed criticism by keeping shows on, there's another 16/20 boxers got out and paid and we got a show to watch, better than nothing all day long

That’s where the dodgy box and sticks come in right?
