Eubank jr has proved his worth as such at a heavier weight; sure he lost the ones that mattered, but he has proved he can operate close to top class.

Whereas Benn has been very carefully matched and not yet proved he can hang with the top guys 2 weight divisions lower.

Pretty easy win for Eubank jr .. I still feel a deal has been done to allow Benn to finish on his feet; if Eubank jr doesn`t have to make it too obvious he is carrying him then maybe they will be able to sell the rematch too.

Jr has always suffered from Amir Khan Syndrome, a very dangerous affliction where a boxer thinks they're better than they actually are. I doubt he believes in his heart of hearts that Conor is a threat to him, and mentally won't be steeled for the sort of effort he'll need to dredge up to beat this feral young savage. Contrast that with Benn knowing he's up against a big, durable guy and will be training for the fight of his life, and the fact that these pairings with fighters on opposing trajectories traditionally favour the man in ascendence, and I see the little guy scoring Simply the Best highlight reel KO we've seen in a long time. Never forget a good little 'un beats an average big 'un!
I agree but Benn? A good little ‘in.

I’m not sold on his yet.
Relative to this fight, he's a good 'un. Weight be damned!

think benn has to go at eubanks from the first bell see if he can hurt him . i see a eubanks late ko rds 8 9 10, very fit strong man eubank can take punishment conor has gassed after the 6, i expect Eubank as the bigger man to put it on benn aswell. fair play to benn i hope he can land a big shot early on Eubanks

Can see Jnr beating Benn to the punch and Benn on the end of a beating , probably getting busted up and pulled out by his corner .

When have you seen him put under any pressure ? It's hard to know how he'll deal with it .

I'm expecting Benn to be aggressive and burn himself out. Eubank by stoppage in the later rounds.

Anyone know the rehydration clause?

10lbs?

For me this could affect outcome.

Benn has both footspeed and handspeed advantage. Eubank always struggles when he is forced to come forward. If Benn gets his tactics right and plays to his strength I give him more of a chance. Especially now Eubank Jnr has drastically reduced his output which was one of his strengths.

Eddie said it’s in-line with IBF rehydration limit. When questioned whether it’s I think 12lbs (the IBF recently changed their limit) he said it was the old limit which was 10lbs.

I’m sure it’ll come up this week though.

I read somewhere the rehydration was only in place for Eubank.. not sure if that was some rumours ..

Pretty sure it was Eubank Jr who came up with the 157 weight limit, no matter what happens I'm not wanting to hear about Benn being too small or Eubank being drained, boxers win and lose that's what happens, most guys struggle with weight, no BS excuses, both being paid handsomely and punters being asked to dip their pocket so these 2 can get it on, heavyweights battle each other with an insane amount of weight discrepancy, I know their bigger guys but sometimes we're talking about several stone difference, no matter if their heavys that's a major difference and much more beneficial to the bigger guy, taking away ability nobody can tell me Benn is at a worse disadvantage than Haye was against Valuev

Don’t get your point in relevance to my question tbh. He said Conor has gassed after the 6th which quite simply isn’t true. Against a better opponent he may well gas that early but until he does it’s completely all pointless conjecture.

Finally watched the head-to-head. I recommend it. Eubank Jr was absolutely full of it. Really condescending whilst being quite funny. Benn was all business. You could tell he was getting wound up at times and it took some effort to stop him losing it. I think Eubank is trying to force Benn to go after him early. Hopefully it doesn’t happen as I always think when a fighter goes up a couple of divisions their stamina is something that may not hold up given he’ll be taking an extra stone or so through the fight.

Yeah - he is. If that had been Nigel though rather than Conor I think he’d have been jumping over the table. Hopefully that’s in Conor’s favour though and he doesn’t throw everything he has at Eubank in the first half of the fight.

He’s like his dad off wish. A knock off. His dad was original and did have some class about him. Jnr is pure cringe and I had to switch off.

Benn is no Pacman and Jnr is no De la Hoys, but that weight cut will favour the man coming up in a big way.

I'm going ball deep on a Benn stoppage

Eubank is really trying to goad Conor Benn, but I don't think it will work.

Conor is not as volatile and angry as his father Nigel was in respect of Eubank Sr.

Yep. If there wasn’t a weight disparity then I’d be favouring Benn. Hopefully he doesn’t lose his head at the start of the fight.
