Goodness, no. Today's developments are far more entertaining than the fight itself ever would have been.

If the fight is off and the show cancelled how much will it cost Matchroom/DAZN ? Does anyone get paid or do they suffer ?

Hearn said the event is Eubank-Benn.. If the fight doesn't happen, then the event doesn't..

I reckon, they can still do the event without the main event on regular dazn.. Give ticket refunds to anyone who wants..

It's all a big mess really.

Imagine if they did actually have it in a stadium.

The only surprising aspect to it is that he got caught. I suppose the lack of outrage and condemnation from Team Eubank is because they assumed a small welter would obviously need some artificial help to put on a stone in 3 months.

And of course Eubank, like all the other elite boxers, is probably on something illegal too.

:TU: if that suspicion wasn't enough, Benn's photos would have likely tipped the wink to those in the know

I suspect Chris Jr renegotiated on the weight clauses and isn't going to cut weight. I'll know by looking at him on the scale, whatever the scale says. The "obscene amount of money" he talked about is too good to turn down and now he has a ready made, legitimate excuse if the upset happens.

I see a picture of Benn last week and his head looked tiny compared to his body and I thought it was clear as day he is on the juice

There were always rumours, unproved, about Nigel and look what happened to McClellan! It's easy to accuse people of being melodramatic at times like this but:-

Eubank Sr v Watson resulted in what it did

Nigel v GMAN resulted in what it did

Chris Jr v Blackwell resulted in what it did

Is there any wonder the Board are wary?

No - I think it’s reasonable.

Eddie’s claiming though that the board have known about this for a couple of weeks. If true, that’s a joke and they’re in self preservation mode now.

Kalle has said that Eubank has spoken to Benn directly about it. I think it is pretty significant that there has been no excuse seemingly made - no matter how phoney - Kalle hasn't said something along the lines of "Benn is convinced there was an error in the original test" or "my brother spiked my drink" etc. Reading between the lines I think both Kalle and Eddie are pretty convinced that Benn took the pills - now whether they believe this was for performance enhancing purposes or if it will aid performance is a different thing.

I think its absolutely shocking that the promoters are publicly criticising the BBBoC decision even though they seemingly haven't denied that Benn KNOWINGLY took a banned PED in the build up to this fight.

Hearn is absolutely finished after this. Trying to take out an injunction.

Last roll of the dice.

He’s said they’re not doing that but want conversations with the board.

Complete scumbag behaviour by Hearn.

Yet in some people's eyes he can do no wrong.

Hearn is a snake. Here he is when another fighter failed a vada test.

There’s a slight difference.

That fight was meant to be in a state that was using VADA. Billy Joe failed the VADA test so he couldn’t fight there. He never received a UKAD ban or was banned by the BBBC as he didn’t fail a UKAD test as the substance wasn’t on the WADA list from memory.

Even still it’s rich of him saying what’s the point in VADA if you don’t use the results.

Whilst I think the BBBC made the right decision I also think it’s frustrating that they waited until now to make it given they’ve seemingly known about it for a couple of weeks (same as the promoters/fighters).

So they wouldn’t have cancelled it if it wasn’t reported on essentially.

Where does it say they knew for weeks?

I thought that statement they issued was from last night?

I might have missed something.

Both Eddie and Kalle said it. The board’s statement doesn’t reference when they found out about it.
