Classic fights I've watched recently

It's perfectly reasonable to ask a man why he sees fit to publically diarise his boxing viewing habits for 135 pages, just as it's perfectly reasonable to say 'Actually, I really enjoy reading posts such as "Howard Eastman vs John Duddy" and "Howard Eastman vs Edison Miranda'." Fair enough, each to his own and all that. But counter puncher having a meltdown over it, and writing an eight paragraph rage-post full of F-words and C-words is not a good look for a grown man. I hope he confines his teenage strops to Boxrec and doesn't behave like that in the real world.

Good to have illustrated the reading level of the people who enjoy this stuff though

Was decent, Pazienza boxed a lot more clever than he usually does, never lunged in like he did first 2 fights and elected to box Haugen off the backfoot and won wide imo

Yeh Honeyghan showed a lot more mettle here than he did against Breland when he looked a busted flush, bit of melee in the ring in the aftermath, ref never seen towel thrown in by Honeyghan's corner so pretty sure it was someone from commission who pulled Pazienza off and ended up pushing Honeyghan out the ring

Hands......I am endorsing this thread - kicking the naysayer into touch - and you can't watch everything mate

Calzaghe was the stand-out guy on the rise - the next superstar - and he'd finished some good fighters early and was a nasty puncher at this point before his hands became a problem. His last six opponents had not seen the sixth round.

Eubank comes into the fight after some demoralising losses to Steve Collins and some tricky fights with Ray Close - he's seemingly on the slide - but Eubank finds a way to survive a nasty knockdown and is making rounds messy, tight and hard.

I like the way Eubank embraces the challenge - you want yourself a world title, you have to take it fella- and how Calzaghe is sometimes missing and sometimes taking one in the mouth.

It feels like a classic cross-over fight - Eubank has some fire left, he's got a champion's pride and ambition - and Joe is learning that he can't slot everyone, all the time.

Yeh it was dire like, good ending but poor overall, Briggs must rank not long behind Liakhovich as one of the worst heavyweight champs ever, been watching a bit of him lately and my god he was boring, horrendous workrate
