I hope the BBBoC considers this match (albeit informally) as an eliminator for the Brtish title... should be a good one, although I think Elcock showed vs Dann that he has a significantly better chin than Blundell and I think he will be too much. Blundell is famed for KO'ing Rhodes and hurting Farnell (before getting KO'd himself the following round - with one of the best punches I have seen). However, Blundell's power isn't (IMO) what the BBN article implies it is - his last KO was 4 years ago.

Re: Blundell's power. I've never seen Blundell fight live - i don't think- but he has scored a few stoppages and i took it on face value. However, he has been matched with journeymen since the Bendall loss and they don't give you the chance to land clean.

Maybe a little gunshy, still?

But as Wayne said to me: he wants rounds and would prefer to look good going the distance than score a fluke stoppage.

Wayne is primarily a boxer, but against Dann he thought he was a puncher and threw single shots when he could have been throwing three or four.

If Bendall can beat him in two then Wayne should do him as quick.

Long time no speak.

I would tend to agree that Elcock will beat Blundell fairly easy. I was at the fight when he sparked rhodes up to that point he was loosing and to be honest looked a capable if limited boxer in all departments.

I think Elcock is a far better fighter than what he showed against dann.

Dann could have fought RW last year but did not want to.

Check out who he has beaten ( even though it is at light middle) and then look and see who Elcock has beaten ( and been beaten by) and there is your answer.

Check out who he has beaten ( even though it is at light middle) and then look and see who Elcock has beaten ( and been beaten by) and there is your answer.

I've looked at williams's record, and checked out who he's beated, i'll say again, no justification for being number two, most fighters in this country have been fed on Eastern European's, Taylor was an excellent win, but Martinez destroyed williams in both fights, though Martinez is world class.

Martinez did destroy Williams though, on both occassions Williams was mullered from the first to the last (or in the second fight till the 9th). martinez was different class both times.
