yes but look who Lewis fought immediately before and after Botha.
Yes I wasn’t going to labour the point, but Lewis did a great job demo-img how champs should act. What was it 6 weeks after popping Michael Grant’s bubble, polaxed Botha in 2.
only a clown or an american would try and fault Lennox Lewis`s resume .
AJ literally called Lennox a clown....
Lennox's record can be got at for a few reasons just like anyones. He's not immune.

LL fought everyone he could despite all the politics etc and avenged both defeats as well as beating all of his peers - well the ones who would get in the ring anyway - obviously not the bell end Bowe he didnt want it .
So for me thats as good as it gets and significantly better than any of todays HW `s .

Joe Joyce must be in the ballpark of Vitali’s level. Do you think Fury will give us a sign off fight against big Joe? Even you must be a bit frustrated with all this carry on?

So never faced his biggest rival, whoever's fault it was.

Only an imecile of window licking proportions would question the validity of LL's resume or career highlights. Just baffling even contemplating correlating Fury with Lewis.

Frank’s justification was that he’s the highest ranked available fighter from Boxrec.

Joke.

I imagine they also sent offers to Ruiz, Ortiz, and even Whyte for a rematch which would all be available and more justified and higher ranked on Boxrec than a third fight against Chisora.

Yeah - when they say available they mean available at fairly low cost.

Hopefully Chisora gets injured then we'll see a better opponent to replace him.

I imagine they're planning some sort of table-throwing fake beef event to try and get anybody interested in this.

Anybody who orders this on PPV is clearly deranged or just thick. :bag:

If Fury gets knocked out twice, will it be completely ignored like Lennox?

Whose ignored them Mickey? Most folk mention how Lennox avenged the two defeats, they're fairly critical to his resume and regularly included.

Chisora is a terrible fight, but I can unfortunately see how it has landed with him.

Looking at the WBC rankings, lets say Bricktop put the following names forward for BT to approve;

Chisora / Kabayel / Charr/Hunter /Makmudov/ Wallin 2 / I haven’t included Bakole as he is 1 of Furys sparring partner so prob not feasible..

We know commercially BT will choose Del Boy every time. Again, poor, poor fight, but they are catering to more of a British casual audience.

Exactly.
It's very much a fight for the casuals who know and care little about the credentials of Fury's opponent as long as they've heard of him and think that he'll put up a show before being dispatched around the halfway mark of the fight.
Plenty of lager and Charlie will be consumed and a good time will be had by all while the boxing diehards shake their heads and slowly lose further interest in the scene.

The predictable part of this will be despite fighting Chisora, Fury will use AJ and Usyk's name to death selling the fight ..

Fury is a fraud

What a cowardly heavyweight champion we have. And by 'we', I mean Britain. There is another Heavyweight Champion who takes on the best. A different calibre.

Andre Ward said: " you ( Fury) either take on the elite or stay at home".

I think most boxing experts have seen through Fury now.

You would have to be nuts to shell out for an expensive ticket or buy a ppv for this. Seems madness. If they secured an equally poor opponent but Fury hadn’t fought them before could have maintained some level of interest. Martin Bakole or even Charles Martin.
