I think this would be the best money fight for GGG at mw.
Now that Eubank Jr is out of opponent, he's gonna try to get GGG?

I mean that would be a good fight and Eubank Jr would've to be 100%, and have no sex for 1 or 2 months to be ready to fight a 41 y/o Golovkin!

He should move on from Benn who apparently isn't ready for the big time. I'm bummed about the cancellation

Yup, Eubank Jr will probably reorientate to GGG.The Asleep Lamps wrote: ↑07 Oct 2022, 13:38 He should move on from Benn who apparently isn't ready for the big time. I'm bummed about the cancellation.

Maybe Eubank Jr was somehow saved from a severe injury due of weight draining.

I'm not a big fan of size mismatches. They look awkward. I like to see competitions of between similar size, rankings, and from the same generation. *Although the veteran vs up-and-comer can be very intriguing.

Eubank Jr is a good name. His best win is DeGale. Its funny but Jr has a slightly better resume than Charlo or Munguia. The Asleep Lamps wrote: ↑07 Oct 2022, 14:00 I'm not a big fan of size mismatches. They look awkward. That should have been his focus all along.
Gimmicky circus fights against opponents with famous surnames shouldn't be on his radar, especially at 33 years old, having arguably not achieved as much as he would have liked.

bruh you are obsessed with eubank and have a weird fixation on him fighting ggg. its not gonna happen
Re: Now that Eubank Jr is out of opponent, he's gonna try to get GGG?
Maybe GGG will unify with Charlo or Janibek? Charlo would be the $ fight, plus he's not a southpaw. Munguia more probable than Eubank I think.

I'd rather not see Eubank fight GGG, certainly not at 160lbs.
It would be more dangerous than anything against Conor Benn, and probably with a smaller purse.
Its difficult to tell whether Conor Benn is going to get a ban or get ready for the rescheduled fight.
Maybe with a 6 month UK ban he could do both?
Its still a fight that many will want to see.
Maybe even more now, but maybe with a different rehydration clause?

Hopefully Eubank Sr. can talk some sense into his son, and not agree to any re-hydration clauses. The clause they SHOULD have in all contracts is about testing positive for peds, and make the dirty pissing guy pay the clean guy 50 or 100K.Thomastearns wrote: ↑11 Oct 2022, 11:48 I'd rather not see Eubank fight GGG, certainly not at 160lbs.

Re: Now that Eubank Jr is out of opponent, he's gonna try to get GGG?
Chris Eubank Jr. has fought ten times within the last 6½ years , but only two of those bouts were at 160lbs. All his other fights were at 168lbs.
Conor Benn tried to make Eubank Jr. officially weigh 157lbs, which was the same weight the 140lbs iteration of Terence Crawford weighed when he entered the ring for the Viktor Postol bout.
And to make matters worse, there was a rehydration clause forcing Eubank Jr. to only weigh 160lbs on the day of the fight, which is 3½lbs lighter than what Lucas Matthysse weighed for his light welterweight bout against Mike Dallas Jr.
Many modern-day welterweights from the last decade or so typically entered the ring weighing 165lbs or more, such as: Errol Spence Jr., Lamont Peterson, Kell Brook, Victor Ortiz, Marcos Maidana, Terence Crawford etc.
And finally, the media is reporting that Conor Benn actually failed two separate PED tests, not just one (and I’m not referring to A and B samples either).
The whole Conor Benn debacle is utterly disgraceful. And Eddie Hearn’s conduct has been extremely questionable also.
But I reckon Benn might escape punishment, or perhaps only receive a very minor slap on the wrists, since VADA has no jurisdiction in the UK.
A bit like when the NYSAC couldn’t punish Jarrell Miller when he first failed a PED test, because of a technicality, since they couldn’t ban him, due to him not having a boxing license (so he was outside the realms of their jurisdiction).
In terms of Chris Eubank Jr., he must have lost a lot of muscle trying to compete as a rehydrated 140lb-er. His body will need time to recover from his weight loss exploits.

I think GGG vs Eubank Jr or Munguia are easier fights to be made than Charlo. Atm Charlo is in oblivion marketing and boxing wise.
GGG vs Eubank Jr in UK would be a sellout fight on O2 arena.

Re: Now that Eubank Jr is out of opponent, he's gonna try to get GGG?
He looks drained dry to the bones. As I said its stupid and dangerous to do that. Eubank Jr could fight GGG at 160 with full rehydration and make even more money.Thomastearns wrote: ↑11 Oct 2022, 11:48 I'd rather not see Eubank fight GGG, certainly not at 160lbs.

Also if the fight with Conor Benn will still happen in the future then it should be at 160 with a 10-15 lbs rehydration limit.

Eubank Jr was on the verge of a possible bad injury if that fight was going to happen. He needs some time to recover from this draining.
Eubank Jr could fight Mung or GGG at 160, 164 or 168 lbs and make loads of money.
As for Benn I think he'll be ok. Probably they will try to reschedule this fight but it would be very stupid and reckless for team Eubank to not renegotiate the contract regarding the weight and the rehydration considering that Conor was caught pissing hot. 160 lbs + 10-15 lbs rehydration would be fair enough for the fight.
