Just goes to show how deluded(most of) these heavyweights are these days.They seem to think the heavier you are the betterjamesmcdonnell wrote:Byrd could probably make 175 even now. Pretty sure I have read that David Haye wants to bulk up to 17 and half stone when he eventually moves up!!!!

I think in Byrd's case he did it so his opponents would think that there wasn't a massive gulf in size or strength.
Byrd has done pretty well with his career when you consider that he was basically a cruiserweight during his heavyweight reign.
He's looking to drop down and fight bell, where I can see him winning. Only the biggest punchers in the division have ever stopped Byrd, and he's never been KO'd cleanly.
