Yes heard a few, they are pretty good. Listened to the Benn and Eubank one earlier today and can’t remember which one said it but he mentioned Eubanks “world tour” and his fight with Dan Schommer. He said he had Eubank losing that fight and he told Eubank he thought he lost. Apparently a few days later Eubank called him and said he’d watched the replay and he agreed he lost it too lol.

The latest Kermit Cintron one is a bit tedious, in as much as he seems to have an excuse for everything. Then he said on his day he would’ve knocked out Canelo.

Seems par for the course with many of these pods. I stopped listening to them a short while ago, the ex boxers hardly ever accepted they were beaten fairly, always an excuse for losing. Did my nut in.

His comments about Margarito were interesting. He said he could feel his knuckles when he punched him and came out the fight with his face torn up, eyes closed and badly bruised, which had never happened to him before. Cintron reckons after the fight he thought something dodgy was going on and Margarito's gloves had been tampered with and then of course a few years later on Margarito got caught using loaded gloves.

Now Cook was a Journeyman who ended up getting better and better. James racked up a number of wins over some very noteworthy names.

I have known Steve for years. I cannot speak more highly of him.

I remember getting drunk with him & the then Frank Maloney at the Cafe De Paris. Bloody great time.

A top bloke who loves Fulham and is extremely knowledgeable about boxing.

It was possibly one of the most enjoyable Boxing Life Stories IMO.

Tris Dixon conducted the interview really well. Interesting that you mention Frank Maloney, because i was hoping Dixon was going to dig a little deeper about why Lillis and Maloney no longer speak to each other, but to be fair he probably read the situation and decided it wasn't right to delve any further into it.

Another interesting thing you say is about the drink because he said he's been off the booze for a while now (and even referenced when he was on B0xnati0n in the studio and fans were concerned about his weight loss....i remember thinking the same thing at the time). Actually quite open about him being a functioning alcoholic and had some interesting views and opinions regarding that.

Some excellent boxing stories and, of course, very knowledgeable.

After all his years in boxing, it was great to hear him raving above the recent Joyce v Parker battle and how thrilling he found it. Makes a wonderful change from the "it was better in my day" relics

A 2 hour POD might sound long, but the time just flies by !

Mate, you've captured it all perfectly so not much more to add1 Simply thought that aside from his knowledge and his passion, Lillis just came across like a top, top bloke who had managed to somehow retain his love of the game (and the characters within it) without becoming too cynical. A rare breed who deserves to be applauded

Has anyone heard Whiskey & White? It’s a podcast hosted by Tommy McCarthy and Tyrone McKenna. They’ve both always come across to me as proper funny daft lads and I find this pod absolutely hilarious. They rarely talk about boxing but when they do you hear the experience and knowledge shine through. It’s definitely not for everyone on here but maybe have a go if you fancy something lighter.

When I was in Scotland working on a WBSS show, Mike was so kind to me, by taking me to oneside and gave me some advice on how I should tackle Parkinson’s.

Simon his son is a bloody great bloke, he chooses to deal with me in a different way … he rips f*ck out
Of me everytime he sees me.
