Mayer v Baum Punch Stats

Re: Mikaela Mayer vs. Alicia Baumgardner | ESPN - October 15, 2022
I had it 5 rounds each, hope the undisputed fight gets made

This was a good scrap.
Not as good as Taylor vs Serrano but still an entertaining fight.
I had it 96-94 Baumgardner.
Undisputed fight might be tough to make. Choi already turned down a unification fight with Alycia and she hasn't fought since late 2020.
I'd like to see Baumgardner vs Serrano

Sounds like Alycia is willing to go to South Korea for that last belt.

Mikaela nobody cares who you fight next.
Like it or not Alycia.......the girl who beat you.........is in line ahead of you for unifications and other big fights..
Mikaela can fight on a Baumgardner undercard.

I had it a draw but Alycia has been more active in the UK (with an outstanding KO on her debut against Terri Harper), plus, she landed the most power punches which looked effective. Mikaela should have seen it coming.

Mayer has an Ego problem, talking about fighting Taylor or Serrano, she needs to get herself into a mandatory position to fight for a belt, then win a belt, and then talk about unifications. She’s so full of herself she think’s she’s entitled to a shortcut
Re: Mikaela Mayer vs. Alicia Baumgardner | ESPN - October 15, 2022
I don't know if Baumgardner can get the fight she wants with Hyun Mi Choi the WBA super featherweight champ. Choi doesn't have a lot of tough title defenses and I don't see her agreeing to unify unless she is forced to. In my opinion, Choi is a paper champion, just like Elina Tissen the WBF featherweight champion. By the way, the Ring magazine women's ratings are absurd. Choi is rated No. 4 in her division and Tissen is No. 3. I don't think they even watch women's boxing unless they are marquee fights. They just rate these women in the top 5 because they have belts. That's the only reason. Tissen hasn't beaten a legitimate contender in four years and her next title defense is against a 40-year-old woman with a 6-6-2 record, so she wins as much as she loses.
