Sanchez to 10 sounds fine.
Re: BoxRec Forum HW Top 15 ranking - Wilder vs. Helenius / Sanchez vs. Negron
Negron is not at the level of opponent that has much bearing on top 15 rankings.
Moving to 10 for beating him seems like a stretch. Bump him over Helenius and wait for him to actually beat someone of note.

Ortiz has beaten similar opponents.
Granted his win against Martin is ok on paper.

It's basically who people rate as an win more, Martin Vs Ajagba.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑18 Oct 2022, 08:57 Ortiz has beaten similar opponents.

Re: BoxRec Forum HW Top 15 ranking - Wilder vs. Helenius / Sanchez vs. Negron
He's going to 12, as Helenius dropping out will naturally move him up. He doesn't gain any more respect from me as a fighter for that borefest this weekend. Sanchez looked like he's regressed and the stoppage was pathetic. Negron was punching back and Sanchez looked as though he'd punched himself out during the exchange if anything.
Maybe the Ajagba win flattered him?

It’s that style of fighting too..

Sounds like a solid undercard match up for Wilder-Ruizjoshj909 wrote: ↑18 Oct 2022, 09:12It's basically who people rate as an win more, Martin Vs Ajagba.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑18 Oct 2022, 08:57 Ortiz has beaten similar opponents.

Re: BoxRec Forum HW Top 15 ranking - Wilder vs. Helenius / Sanchez vs. Negron
Moving around doing nothing for ages and then fighting in short explosive bursts?
I wonder if he has much of a tank if he's not allowed to do that? Is he capable of a high paced tear up?

Sanchez to 14th.
Pulev vs chizzy was a better preformance than sanchez vs negron... That was reallly really poor in my eyes, it was a competitive fight untill a stoppage that was pretty borderline (wasnt a shocker but i think sanchez might of over commited and would of gassed if negron survived just a touch longer.)

Before I closed the vote there was around equal votes to keep him 3 or drop him 4. I worked it on the average votes.tiny_acres wrote: ↑22 Oct 2022, 13:25I thought Wilder had more votes to move to #2 than to stay at 3 or drop to 4???Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑22 Oct 2022, 11:02 The vote is over.

Re: BoxRec Forum HW Top 15 ranking - Wilder vs. Helenius / Sanchez vs. Negron
the most votes of any single option were for him to go to 2, but #3 and #4 combined had more votes than that, so it averages out to him staying. it makes sense, basically most people thought he shouldnt move uptiny_acres wrote: ↑22 Oct 2022, 13:25I thought Wilder had more votes to move to #2 than to stay at 3 or drop to 4???Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑22 Oct 2022, 11:02 The vote is over.

personally i voted him to 2, i think just getting a win made the difference between him and aj, given that they were both short on recent wins prior to last week. tbh its been a while for either of them to get a particularly good win, i think they basically just go back and forth this point based on who won last

I voted him 2 as well..
I probably won’t have an option to drop boxers after a win going forward.. depends on who the opponent is.

Re: BoxRec Forum HW Top 15 ranking - Wilder vs. Helenius / Sanchez vs. Negron
no, you should definitely let people drop boxers with a win, it would be ridiciulous not to. lots of people do it and it comes off as you enforcing your own ranking preference too much
often guys in this list will come off inactivity to crush a can. in the meantime the division will have changed, and it is often appropriate to reposition a guy who scored a meaningless win based on what else has happened. we also get guys who simply hold on by attrition too long, without doing anything, and being able to vote them down on a win gives us a chance to account for that
