I used to love Bunce when he was with Setanta but he seemed more impartial then. Same when he was with allegedly to be honest as he was more of a presenter than a pundit.

Since he’s been with BT as a pundit I find it difficult to take what he says seriously because there’s always going to bias to the home fighter. That’s fine if he’s just doing punditry but it’s impossible now to take him seriously as a journalist re: fights taking place on the channel.

I'm bold enough to say it will do ok @ The Box Office.

It won't be a smash, 'cos it's shit, but it won't bomb because Fury and DelBoy are popular and good at selling a fight and besides - this is boxing and we so often get crap fights that are "events"

Not sure he's worse than Davies who is cringeworthy.

To call either a 'journalist' is an insult to the profession. Sycophantic, toadying hype merchants who will do whatever it takes to ingratiate themselves with promoters so they can continue to line their own pockets. They are part of the problem with boxing as a sport.

I should add, Bunce's book was superb.
A really good thriller-noire. He IS a journalist, because he can tell a great story.

I'm not saying it was beautiful literature, I'm saying it was decent page-turner.
Good atmosphere, pace and (obviously) captured the fight scene background well.

Surely Matt Christie. I know he’s primarily an editor now, but he’s a good writer and certainly not afraid of rocking the boat at BN (as much as he can anyway, without risking losing access).

Yeah good shout, Matt Christie.
Tris Dixon is good too.

The Fixer wasn't complete shit. I read it in a day on a sun lounger with a Pina Colada. It was quality Chick-Lit, but for geezers. It was 400x better than Naked Lunch for a start.
