The way I see it..

He was #1..

had he remained in the ranking..

After Usyk beat AJ again..

Would we have ranked him at #1 or kept Usyk at #2..

Most votes takes it.. If somehow, majority vote to keep him out (doubt it).. Then we can vote someone in later.

Chisora has lost 3 of his last 4 fights, lost to Whyte twice, who was recently ktfo by Fury.

Fury doesn't deserve a top ranking for a crap fight like this. A title shot for Chisora is a joke and a slap in the face to boxing in general. Just saying make Fury earn his way back up. Once you retire, rankings don't automatically come back in place.

We’re not voting on him based on his scheduled fight with Chisora.

Yeh, this one seemed a bit more genuine than the others.

TBRB, Ring and even Boxrec removed him..

Only ESPN didn't, probably due to Top Rank..

No one willing to give their reasons?

AJ's record is significantly better than Wilder's, therefore based on their biggest win over the past few years (up to 7 years!), Usyk>Fury.

I have come to realise that I rank fighters differently to most others (each to their own). I rank them based on the base level following their best wins favouring recent results while others seem to elevate that depending on the peak of what their wins or loses could mean for them or heavily favouring recent matchups to the point that it overrules previous better results (I think). It gets more complicated when you have a rock paper scissors scenario or guys with losses worse than their wins but I usually have to consider the most recent of those to be the conclusion of that matchup.

I'm kinda similar to you in that sense.. Some will think well, He was already #1.. But we dropped him before Uyk-AJ.

For example, we can never factor Fury's win over Wlad when it comes to rankings anymore.. But many still win.,

See, I would still consider his win over Wlad but only as a makeweight if all other things were equal, which they rarely ever are in boxing. It's largely insignificant with all fights since then being more significant. Looking that far back, to me it doesn't hold much different weight to AJ's win, so when you look at their records since then, you can look at much more significant fights influencing things. But yes, others will still claim that as the best active win in the division

I think vote him back in but at 2. I originally wanted him out when he "retired" but I think it's fair to bring him in seeing as the fight is scheduled and looks likely to go ahead. I imagine others may see it that they should wait until he's in the ring as you would with other retired boxers.

By his own words, he retired, so currently he should be out.
He has a fight scheduled, but there's still time for injuries in training or whatnot to happen before then.
After the fight with Chisora, he gains a ranking, be it #1 or 2 depending on the performance. As he's expected to toy with Chisora, it'll probably be #1.

Since he never officially did the paperwork that comes with retiring as he never gave up the WBC title, he always was an active fighter regardless of what he said publicly.

I said it before it was a mistake for the website to take him off as #1 because he is the lineal champion and he did fight back in April and is scheduled to fight this December.

I voted to put him back as number one. Far too many people were trigger happy to remove him from the website as the number one heavyweight in the world.

Maybe everyone was just sick of the bullshit.

It wasn’t just people on here. As I said, he only gave up the Ring belt and they removed him completely.

For some, verbal is enough.

Anyway, we’re Past that. We’re getting him back in like we said we would vote on it IF she had a fight scheduled.

He did relinquish The Ring belt when stating he'd retired Henry.

Edit: Just saw RKO's reply.

I'd put him at #1 just based on his larger body (no pun intended) of work at heavy compared to Usyk, although I rank Usyk's wins over AJ as more impressive than Fury's wins over Wilder.

The Ring magazine belt is not a real championship belt though. It's simply an ornament. So from my perspective the belt is meaningless. Giving it up just so the winner of Joshua-Usyk 2 can have it means nothing.

Out of Fury's own mouth it was strategic because he wants to be 3x Ring magazine champion just like Muhammad Ali and others who hold that distinction.

As for whether Usyk beating Joshua twice is better than Fury basically beating Wilder three times, I would say considering how far gone Fury was mentally and physically his comeback is far more impressive especially when you figure the bubble already burst on Joshua when he got stopped by Andy Ruiz.
