Muhammad Ali a "Pro wrestler" ?
That's news to me.
what year was this to have allegedly happened ?
and are you sure you're not actually thinking of Jack Johnson or Joe Louis ?

No, Ali. I saw some photos on a British pro wrestling site but no dates were given.
Re: Muhammad Ali's pro wrestling matches in England
I'm a Boxing and Pro Wrestling enthusiast, and to my knowledge this is the extant of Ali's appearances in the World of Pro Wrestling.
Ali vs Inoki obviously.
In Mid South Wrestling he appeared for some reason, and punched Jake Roberts. He was supposed to be buddies with "The Snowman" or something. (A Junkyard Dog wannabe...if you know Wrestling you get what I'm saying right now, if you don't I'm speaking some sorta bizarre gibberish
He appeared as a Special Enforcer at WrestleMania 1. Basically he just showed up and waved while wearing a referee's outfit.
And I wanna say they pointed him out in the crowd at Halloween Havoc 1994 when Hogan faced Flair in a "Retirement" match.
If Ali had any further involvement in Pro Wrestling. It's news to me.

heritagedocs.wixsite.com/talkwrestling is where I saw the photos. on closer inspection, the photos aren't real and the thread is a spoof. However, there are real photos of Ali versus inoki on the same thread.

One other thing-the same site has some good information on Randy Turpin's wrestling career-that's what I was actually researching.

Re: Muhammad Ali's pro wrestling matches in England
yeah, I grew up in the 1970's, if Ali had become a "professional wrestler"
would have heard about it.
In 1976-77, Ali IMOP had too any irons in the fire,
and in 1978, it was all going straight down-hill fast
as far as his boxing career.

I've seen photos of Ali at Kings Hall, Bellvue in Manchester. The venue was known for its boxing and wrestling. No further info than that sadly but remember passing it on the bus thinking "Muhammad Ali has actually been down this road". Unbelievable for me as a kid.

Ali I know for a fact Ali had one pro wrestling match against Kenny Sodbuster Jay in the AWA.
It is on youtube.
Jay was the guy they would use to make non talented wrestlers look good.
