Is it me, am I reading too much into this but amongst the bluster its the first time I have heard Mr Hearn mention “ban”

I am convinced this is significant and it almost it is Mr Hearn admitting there is a high likelihood of a ban for Conor Benn.

Imo a major shift
So he gave up his licence and it was NOTHING to do with the failed result? Eh?

That he never took anything?

He took something by accident?

He ate something contaminated?

He didn't now it was banned?

What's the point?

You failed a test. A drug was in your system.. Get on with it.
Very valid questions ..

There is a lot at stake … not just the career of Conor Benn.

I am wondering whether when things get desperate will the can of worms be opened & other people made accountable.
Other people like his trainer ? Has he ever trained anybody else about whom rumours of PED use have long been discussed ?
I am absolutely convinced that Tony Sims has f*ck all to do with this.

In my life I rarely hold people in such high regard like I do Tony Sims.

I first met Tony over 20+ years ago when I was working on the Lennox/Botha show. Then through working for Hennessy Sports. In addition I spent time talking to Tony concerning all things boxing Whilst staying in hotels working on a wide variety of shows.

I stress I absolutely, unconditionally hold Tony Sims in the highest regard. I do not say that about many people because I am a miserable ****.

Tony Sims although he is Conor Benns trainer has got f*ck all to fo with this mess.

Let’s go baby! Looking forward to this.

Seen some interviews. Terrible way to handle this in my opinion. Any casual fans I know are right turned off on him and consider him a total cheat. I don't see this strategy working.

I am totally stunned.

I fully expected a lot more of a defence than what
He has given.

A flppant remark why he failed 2 tests due to contaminated food or drink is weak.

I am extremely disappointed.

But this raises even more questions why oh why was the first failed test kept as a secret?

When the second failed test happened why wasn’t the promoter concerned by this.

To blame the BBBofC is the weakest of all excuses.

I am truly disgusted about Benn and I feel Eddie Hearn needs to answer some very awkward questions

So after all this time, the best they can come up with is “it must be contamination”, despite failing 2 separate tests and apparently not even bothering with the B sample? Brilliant.

Failed the first test and just assumed it was a mistake and moved on pretty much.

How many times has that happened?

That’s what you call bad luck to have taken the same contaminated food / drink 12 weeks apart !

And passed all UKAD tests in the meanwhile?

Something stinks.

In the article they mention that clomifene is used for chickens to lay more eggs.

It would be more believable if he genuinely said he wants to have a kid.

I want the BBBofC to ban him regardless of the licence situation.

I also want the BBBofC to call Eddie Hearn to answer some questions.

I say again I truly cannot believe what a pathetic weak response this is.

From what Eddie Hearn had said in interviews we were going to be bamboozled with a robust, scientific defence full of credible reasons …

Ban him!!!

I wonder if you would have the same level of energy if it was one of those fighters who allowed you to flourish in your career as a teaboy on fight nights. Haye for example.
