Agree re. Mickey. Gets a disproportionate amount of abuse/baiting on here and I don't really understand what's triggered it. The forum is a better place for having him on it IMO and I for one really value his insights, esp. around emerging boxers in the Yorkshire area etc.

Mickey knows his boxing he is obviously a big fan and like you said very knoladgable especielly about that part of the world , i think a lot of the stick he gets is really tongue in cheek , which for the most part he ignores , , but like i said he can give has good has he gets , don't think it upsets him too much , i know i've had a couple back and forths with him ,, but like him i don't get too bothered about it , get it over with and move on till next time , cos heh its a forum , its people from all over the world giving opinions on what they love and are passionate about , disagreements are gonna happen thats has sure has the sun comes up ,, thing is , don't worry or get too upset about what someone you don't know on the other side of the country or the world say or write

Apologies Mickey, I feel like I could have been one of the posters that inadvertently started this
recent culmination a few months ago. I've called you out for your delusional Fury /Frank fandom and anti-Hearn/AJ views many of times but overall, your non-Fury boxing knowledge is top level, arguably moreso than 90% on here at the domestic level. I will continue to call you out when I see fit but I have noticed others getting a bit odd lately. Overall I think the more the merrier on here even if we all disagree (except Boxtune, that guy was ridiculous).

Mick is nothing if not consistent in his defence of Fury, to the point that it seems a bit odd, but is otherwise a solid poster and a bit of a character and takes people's ribbing of him on the chin.

Stop being a c*nt.
Mickey is a complete and utter tit who fully deserves every bit of ridicule he is subjected to.
My last words on this- F uck off.

Any truth in the rumour you were banned from his gym for getting pissed up at one of his shows and making a scene?
Literally none. I was at a show on Wednesday night with him, ironically I was cheering on a Dave Allen boxer AGAINST a traveller kid.

He certainly would be, as will Spud. Hope the latter reconsiders as he injected some much-needed life into the forum.

Thank you for the kind messages & to the mods thank you for the prompt action.

What I will say is I was at fault too. I didnt like the way a fellow poster was being treated and I wrote something that I was clearly wrong in doing so. I apologise.

Back to boxing.

Had a PM from Spud as well, had no idea what he was talking about, I've not been on , hope he doesn't leave, as pretty everyone alludes to, Mickey is a top poster, I don't agree with him on most things Fury but he's not the only knowledgeable guy on here who I disagree with on things, so what ? It's a forum, post your thoughts, have a debate, have a laugh and don't take it too seriously and get personal

Can we just clear something up? I’m a Fury fan, yes, but I’m far from obsessed. I would say you lot are, but in a different way. I just try to add balance! He can’t sell tickets, he’s crap, he’s not undefeated, he is a coward etc…. None of which is true. Nobody wants the Del fight, me included but I can see why he is taking it.

People are critising Fury for the same reason why you can see he is taking the Chisora fight ..

*This thread got all Mumsnet for awhile then.

Fight isn’t too bad IF Fury fights Usyk next and early next year.

You’d like to think it will be formally announced in the ring after the Del fight.

Anything else just makes this a mockery.

I just don`t see how Chisora compares anything to Joshua. It was Joshua who Fury initially called out for December - so thats assuming he wanted that level of opponent for that date - and in which case there were far more credible guys who would have been a better opponent than Chisora.

If Fury had told the truth (something we know he finds extremely difficult) and said he wanted an easy no risk warm up before facing Usyk in March 2023 then I guess people would be more accepting.

Unfortunately Fury likes the easy matches - wasn`t that the reason he went with fWank over Hearn?
And it is far from certain he will even fight Usyk next .. or at all.
When Fury has no options he steps up as has been proved; but he has many many options now so I am not holding my breath he fights Usyk anytime soon.

I am going to get shot down for this … its me just being me…

After saying Fury/Chisora3 was a shocking fight and trawling You Tube and listening to and reading what Mr W*rren has had to say I can fully understand why #FuryChisora3 is on.

Yep I can get my big bulbous head around it …

The breakdown of AJ talks and the availability of alternatives meant that Mr W*rren was backed into a corner.

There were others but time constraints meant it was impoosible to put particular fights on.

I am however confident sadly, the fight wont sell out and firms like Ticketmaster are going to make a BIG loss.
