It's his biggest pay day several times over. He gets by doing seminars.

He's sponsored by a bloke who owns a huge scaffolding firm round here. The guy is a huge combat sports fan and has a state of the art gym which has thai, kickboxing, mma and amateur boxing. Liam often pops over to help with Andy Howson and James France. Our youth really have no idea how good they've got it.

What a tough guy.
Awesome Scrap, while it lasted.

I definitely prefer this to MMA.

Harrison would've gotten pounced on immediately after that first kickstrike knock-down, and then promptly tko'd, had this been an MMA match, which would've been "Laymo City" for Many a true fight fan, like myself.

It's Really been my Biggest Gripe about MMA. The way a potentially Great and Thrilling Scrap just abruptly ends So Immediately, and it's Really All to do with the "Allowing for Pouncing onto a downed opponent component".

This bout Needs to be Shown and Evaluated by MMA Rules and Regulations authorities.
Does Dana White decide what the rules are for MMA..?

Just to point out another thing though, I actually think that the Straight-On 3 knockdown rule should be obliterated, from fighting combat sports. Not saying that there aren't instances where a fighter is obviously needing to be taken out of the fight after going down 3 times in a given round, or even just a couple of times, or only one time, if they get up and are just too wobbly and disorientated to safely continue to battle on. Its just that I've seen Boxers go down three times en route to a Lame Tko loss, but they were clearly looking able bodied enough to safely continue to battle onwards.

And also when boxers are getting barraged by unanswered punches, sometimes it looks Much More justifable that the ref just give a standing 8 count, which is in its essence a technical knockdown, instead of just blatantly stopping the bout. A bout which could've very well turned out to become a great back and forth boxing battle affair.

It’s really good and the fights are free on YouTube. GSP, bas rutten and wonderboy all do punditry too. No thrills, no bullshit build ups, no tiresome ground game.

I’ve watched the compilations, kick and punch KOs on YouTube. Brutal. From the looks of it stomps are allowed to a grounded opponent?

i reckon we'll be seeing the format with 4oz MMA gloves at some point mate, that would be the icing on the cake :OhYes:

you ever seen Gabriel Varga's youtube channel? really interesting guy, he is a very cerebral analytical fighter and observer of combat sports

he does a couple of videos where he watches and scores fights EG Buakaw - Petrosyan, a couple of fascinating ones where he breaks down his own fights, talks about his training camp and the gameplans he came up with for specific fighters and then comments on the fights on how he put it into action, its fascinating stuff, you can see his analytical ability is really key in him being successful as he is using very different styles according to opposition (pressuring one dude and keeping the next at distance/ etc etc etc)
