Looking forward to seeing Zurdo finally taking on a genuine elite-level opponent, been a long time coming. Good fighter but he's needed a top drawer foe for a good while now, his best wins are still probably over Jesse Hart. Hoping he steps up to the mark and provides a great contest, just fancy Bivol to pick him off over the distance. Nice fight.

I seen some call this card of the year?
Re: Dmitry Bivol vs. Gilberto Ramirez | DAZN - 5 November 2022
Quite poss - it's a really good card. Great headliner, intriguing support from Barrett in his world title bid, a good woman's fight too. Plus the Yafais.
All on at a good time. Not sure what the atmosphere will be like but if I was at home I would be really looking forward to this evening of boxing, and which I've rarely done so this year.

The women's fight is good, the main event is a cracker but don't anything other than Barrett being stopped by Rakhimov.

same question i always have for the jab-first Euro style boxer, how does he do against a lefty? half of them adapt very badly
has Bivol fought any decent southpaws? somehow i doubt it (loads in the amas obviously)

Think Robert Berridge was the last southpaw he fought, although he wasn't exactly world class.

I really like this show. 3 extremely well matched fights at the top of the card (although I think Zelfa will lose fairly comfortably) and a good step up for Gal Yafai too.
Looking forward to it.

The Japan card yesterday and this card here makes me realize why I couldnt give much of a fck about Fury/Joshua and Crawford/Spence and their negotiations

We don't have the attention span to let fights "marinade"
We just move on or else begin to hate the sport we love.
I just lose respect for fighters who don't fight the best, especially the ones that talk a big game, then go on to fight some stiff.
Actually, Zurdo is one of those...

Cracking fight but people would rather focus on Jake Logan and Gay Geordies.

This card is ok, but nothing special. The womens fight doesn`t interest me at all.
The fact that this is being called card of the year shows how much boxing has fallen.
Maybe this one of the 4 cards per year that Eddie promised us on DAZN, where each card would feature multiple fights that are all PPV worthy in their own right.
Game changed? game stinks

Same. I'm leaning towards Bivol but actually bet on Ramirez as 7/2 was far too generous to pass up.Bigdogsnose wrote: ↑14 Oct 2022, 06:27 I think zurdos gonna give Bivol all he can handle. Not sure if Bivols being slightly overated on the back of canelo. Team ginge picked bivol for a reason, i think they saw a light hitting type of Plant/BJS type of fight where they'd lose rounds but ultimately breakdown and stop him.
Whilst they overlooked that Bivol was better than that, hes been poor in a few fights which is, i guess, what they went off.
This is different altogether. Ramirez fights longer, can stay busier and punch with him.
Tight fight for me.
