Fury's Two Trilogy Claim

Post by keithmoonhangover »

I just watched Tyson Fury say he's the only heavyweight champion ever to fight in two trilogies or something to that effect. Didn't Holyfield fight in two?

Yep. Against Ruiz and Bowe.

Muhammed Ali too against Frazier and Norton.

Tyson doesn’t normally let facts get in the way of a sound bite.

I'm sure Walcott will have fought in at least two.

Maxim and Charles spring to mind. Did he fight Louis 3 times too?

Now now, the glitter from Poundland ain't bad. I mean, it's not as good as B&M or Home Bargains, but it's half decent.

So apart from Ali, Holyfield, Walcott,. Charles and Maxim, Fury was telling the truth.

There's not much else he can say about this fight that creates any hype. This trilogy thing might be the most exciting thing in the whole build up and that's a load of wild boar meat.

I just watched the Geordie interview and I honestly think Fury is on a downward spiral. I don't think his mental health is in a good place.

He,s just become boring , says anything for attention , and craves adulation ,, guys gonna drag out all the Chisora type fights he can ,, earm has much has he can , then he'll probably stick two fingers up at the world say i'm retiring and actually do it ,, go on holidays , hit the booze , hit the marching powder and die a early death .

Trilogies must have authenticity, where it’s 1-1 after a couple a quality fights and a Third is a must. Bowe Holyfield was absolute quality, the paramotor incident, manny stewart rugby tackling his own fighter !! …

Fury Chisora 3 has a lot to live up to !

Quite. That's why he won't risk fighting "that middleweight" who isn't from his era.

Wilder trilogy is 2-0-1

Some can argue is 3-0.. I know there was some genuine scores for Wilder.

Chisora trilogy is 2-0 (pending 3-0)

AlI’d trilogies came after the first 2 bouts was 1-1

I thin Holyfield lost his Ruiz trilogy.. was there a draw in that one to?

He was on breakfast news talking about the trilogy and trying to justify the Chisora fight, well if someone wants to sit watching that at 10.30pm in the middle of winter outdoors then it's up to them I suppose

The Geordie interview was funny tbh. Fury defending Chisora like he’s his promoter rather than his opponent.

You know it’s a shit fight when one fighters stupidly bigs up the guy he’s fighting.

I thought it was refreshing for someone to ask the 'Why Chisora?' question. When the Geordie asked about Connor Benn, he should have pressed Fury on his own failed tests.

Fury would just end the call if he'd been asked anything he didn't like. It's a good job Chisora managed to scrape by an ancient, poor Pulev, almost makes you think it was a set up but surely that would never happen in boxing

Yep indeed. Was good to see the big bearded, bald tosser ask some probing questions and put Tyson under the spotlight for giving his mate a payday.
