bam rodriguez beat cuadras, sor, and that last dude.......he's a contender too

haney became undisputed, although i dont think kambo x2 is quite up there for the top spot

shak beating valdez and robson, though not making weight could hurt his argument

Bam had a hell of a year, but it was a great win and 2 eh wins.

Haney had a hell of a year, but kambo twice isn’t epic.

Shak missing weight ends the argument right there I think.

Those guys would all have arguments for a “breakout fighter of the year, but in the open class fighter of the year Bivol beat p4p 1 clear. Then beat a top 5 in his division… to me it’s clear as day.

Got to remember canelo was a solid favourite going into that fight. I think because of how easy Bivol did it people are remembering it as less than it was. Mabey the best win in boxing in the last 5 years. Mabey more when’s the last time the p4p 1 got outclassed? I honestly can’t remember l it ever happening.

Bellend of the year = Plant for his tasteless celebrations whilst Dirrell was still down.

Biggest bottle job of the year = Fury for ducking Joshua/Usyk/Joyce and Ruiz Jnr.

The ultimate who cares fixture of the year: Fury vs Chisora III

I would have had "Big John" as the bellend of the year (and probably next year and all future years as well - maybe just re-name it the "gypsy John Fury fighting man" award?)

Fighter of the year is Bivol by some margin. Next would probably be someone like Haney.

Fight: Wood/Conlan, Hrgovic/Zhang, Taylor/Serrano. Probably a few others but I don't think many stand well above all others.

KO: Wood/Conlan or Cordina/Ogawa maybe

Upset, I have to agree with gregregegg:

Agreed. " Big John" ( "the Heavyweight Champion came from these balls) is bellend of the year Emeritus.

Superfan of the year is Big Doofus.

fight of the year - Conlan/Wood or Taylor/Serrano
fighter of the year - Bivol
ko of the year - Cordina is up there as it came out of nowhere. Also Fury’s Ko of Whyte was class.
upset of the year - perhaps Bivol but whilst I thought Canelo would win I still thought it was a closeish fight on paper. There haven’t been loads to be honest. Does that make it the year of the mismatch?

That was a definite robbery.

I'm sure there's been worse this year, but has there ever been a fight for so many titles that was so blatant? It wasn't even close.
