Leonard v Duran is a more compelling and entertaining fight IMO than Leoard v Hagler, and fought over the proper 15 round distance for a world championship bout.

He was able to outsmart Hagler. The big moment in round 9 when it looked like Hagler finally had where he wanted him, and Leonard showed a lot of heart of battling back toe to toe.

In the history of the sport, there isn't another case where a guy came back like that (after being gone for so long) to beat a great fighter. It is amazing that so many people don't get that. It is a very underrated achievement.

Now your being silly. Leonard had boxed once in five years, had never fought at the weight and Hagler was so 'very past his best', he beat Hearns two fights previously.
