Worst PPVs / PPV prices in your country.
Tonight in Australia Lucus brown, former fake World champ, best known for getting stopped by dave allen within 3 rounds will be fighting Paul gallen, an ex australian rugby leauge player, turn 10-0 pro (vs not much). Both in there 40s, PPV price $60 aus dollars (46 USD) for the Wednesday night clash.
earlier this year 45 year old mundine (also a former leauge player but at least a legit boxer too) got KO'd in one by zerrafa for a price of 30 aus dollars.
Aus has some shocking PPVs, but these 2 stand out as extra bad. whats your country worst PPV/PPV price (excluding triller)

Re: Worst PPVs / PPV prices in your country.
Some people complain in the U.K. about the quality/price of the PPVs (and on May 1st it’s justifiable) but the pricing is better than in other countries.
Up until a couple of years back everything was. £14.95 ($20 USD) and now they’re £19.95 as standard ($28 USD) or £24.95 for the last 2 AJ fights ($35 USD).
Do they sell many of those PPVs at those prices?! And I always thought the US fans had it bad!

Our ppv are like 80 so quit complaining!
Re: Worst PPVs / PPV prices in your country.
Canada: Ryan Rozicki fight on Friday is on ppv.
Ryan is a beast. If you like reckless and fan-friendly, he’s your guy!
I was in the corner for a fighter a few years ago, against Rozicki. Ryan put a savage beating on our guy... I’ll never forget it.
Regardless, $35CAD. And I doubt I’d ever heard of Ryan if we hadn’t fought him.

Not my country, though something worth noting... Japan, every so often, has a PPV that doesn't really make sense in the eyes of us from the west... For example this one
https://boxrec.com/en/event/830276
Cost about £13 in UK money to watch live, but the promoter is now putting the fights online for free

Yea for 80 bucks you get two world class boxers. For 60 we got Lucus brown ko’d in 2 mins by a rugby player... just because it’s cheaper doesn’t make it better value....
Re: Worst PPVs / PPV prices in your country.
Well here I come with the worst... Eric Lucas had 2 terrible PPVs... they ended up being about 70$ with taxes...
One was Vs Tony menefee
I think from memory the other was Vs James Crawford
Those two were the worst I paid for... Prob some of the worst in all of boxing history... Not TERRIBLE cards... they were very long broadcasts, like 5+ hours... 7 to 8 fights... so that is not bad...
In canada we had some BAD HBO events in PPVs so these might also qualify... I remember paying for one, 40$ with taxes and it ended up being a 1 or 2 round fight...

Oh Canada had Rivas vs that cruiser that had been retired 5 years recently didn’t they, that was pretty bad. I didn’t think it should be sanctioned let alone ppv.

Ruiz-Arreola is on PPV..doesnt get much worse than that! 10 years ago Id wanted to see this fight but come on, this should be on ESPN or Showtime!
Re: Worst PPVs / PPV prices in your country.
Worst NZ PPV was Cojanu Vs Parker (£25 UK Pounds) $49 NZD I think. Free and largely overlooked by the rest of the planet.

Showtime and HBO have never gone below $49.99 have they?
The early days were that too I think.

I wouldn’t pay anything to see 40 plus year old Lucas Browne box.
Here in
PPV is bad value but not as bad as

Aussie boxing seems to be a sideshow. The PPVs are the worst in the world.

Re: Worst PPVs / PPV prices in your country.
• Worst UK PPV of all time? Kell Brook vs. Michael Jennings (15K buys)
• Worst recent PPV? Hard to say, there seems to be an awful lot of them, but it didn't seem right for the broadcasters to charge a fee for poor events like Tyson-Jones, Povetkin-Whyte and Joyce-Dubois (i.e. either a poor main event, poor undercard or a combination of both).
• PPV prices in the UK? They seem expensive to me (in the context of quality), but I guess it's cheaper than other countries. The problem, though, is that there are so damn many of them (I think there were about seven of them at one point fairly recently within a two month period), coupled with the fact you also have to pay a subscription.

Also, PPV is about star appeal, in some cases, you have boxers that deserve the high paydays, but the fights flop at box office.
Fights like Taylor-Prograis - a good fight, but there wa sno appeal outside of hardcore boxing fans.
Same with the Loma-Campbell. there's a few more.

I'll only go halfs with a friend if it's a decent PPV, we paid for AJ Usyk 2, no way will we get Fury Chisora or AJ vs Some no mark, unless, its AJ Fury Wilder or Usyk against one another I don't think I'll be parting with any money. I'm amazed what they charge in some other countries, you guys must have more money.
Re: Worst PPVs / PPV prices in your country.
Joyce vs Parker, although a decent main event, had a terrible undercard.

Are PPV prices in the US inclusive of taxes? Or if a PPV is advertised as $80, do you then pay tax on top of that?

Floyd Mayweather vs youtuber and part time boxer Deji tomorrow is not a bad price at 40$ Mayweather vs overmatched opponent is a waste. not sure if Tommy Fury will still be on the card after missing weight, i am mildly interested in seeing former AEW wrestler Bobby Fish make his debut vs a guy who is 2 and 3
